It’s actually pretty interesting, considering Subaru just dropped the turbo in this segment. Not to mention that the CX-5 is a great car if you’re considering a crossover, which virtually everyone is.

Um, the hordes of people buying this crossover? This is the hottest part of the car market right now. Stupid comment.
When David Tracy offers to buy it.
Narrow-body 911s have now just jumped 1000% in value. In 2025, Porsche will make a special edition run of narrow-body 911 Carreras, limited to 356 produced, sold out before the public announcement even hit the blogs.
Funny I don’t see a single Kia, Hyundai or Genesis on the depreciation list. Everyone on here said “don’t buy a Stinger it’ll depreciate like crazy because it’s a Kia” and this probably doesn’t take into account the Stinger specifically yet, but not a single one on here. No Kia K900, no Genesis...
Yes, used cars are about playing depreciation curves against actual reliability and cheapest repairs. So that means American cars (best depreciation and generally cheapest parts) and Consumer Reports used car ratings (to find the ones that are reliable).
That said I agree with CR: the maximum depreciation is the first…
Not in my experience. I’ve bought several sub $5000 cars that didn’t need more than $300 in parts in the first year, and one of those was a 12 year old Saab convertible.
It’s hard because good cheap used cars gets passed on to family, or sold to close friends/colleagues/neighbor, without ever getting on the market.
I know how fun it is to hate on something, but let’s be honest for a moment..
I’m usually full of sarcasm and would mention something about an Audi AllRoad or a V10 M5, or anything David Tracy owns, but in all seriousness it’s time to give up your car if:
Have you gone into a dealer?
Remember a time when form followed function, and when there wasn’t a line on a BMW design that didn’t serve some purpose?
I think the dazzle camo may be hiding all of the initial paint options in plain sight!
The other reason for moving the car, LaSha told me, was that her husband wanted to show that it could be done after his friend voiced some doubts.
There are probably complexities in the distribution contracts that would cause headaches if it was never released in theaters.
