You’re not providing any useful advice for the situation in the video (a weird person being upset that he was passed, so he creates a dangerous situation to assert dominance). I’m not really sure what you “understand” about the biker being upset. The cyclist takes the proper amount of lane needed on the descent. He’s

The cyclist is weaving and losing speed for two reasons: He is aware there is an erratic bike behind him and can’t figure out where he is and he’s setting up for his next turn.

Jonathan Safran Foer is not “talented.” He’s a hack that writes books for obnoxious and stupid people.

It really doesn’t sound like you’re familiar with mountain descents.

You don’t hold a line at the right of the road at those speeds. Incredibly dangerous. You claim the lane— especially if you are going faster than the traffic behind you.

Cool story, nerds.

It sounds like every other pop song on the radio. The only difference is that the performers look edgy to squares, thus the music is supposedly different.

This isn’t synth pop.

It’s a problem of this specific writer concerning the whole of his contributions. A whole bag of problems and a colleague jumping in to spew an in-crowd cool people defense sorta exposes a bigger problem.

The whole thing never leaves obvious land and seems a bit disingenuous at times. I don’t give a crap about sports. I don’t follow sports. I wouldn’t recognize a pro sports person if we were sitting at the same table. Still, just by being exposed to pop culture, I know team names and basic stuff.

But is it humorous? No.

It’s a pretty backwards statement.

I get the feeling this guy really doesn’t understand anything he writes about (and doesn’t know how to do it in a way that is interesting).

That fact that you care about this topic and your response shows your maturity.

This plan was horrible. It doesn’t factor that a lot of students don’t have the safety net required for this plan to work. This is “do-able” for people born into stability (and who probably wouldn’t worry about the cost of education in the first place).

Most people I know don’t finish their degree in four years (but we are all working types who can’t take a zillion credits every quarter).

In-State only restricts the choice of programs to study!

I’m a non-drinker and have always been, so I’ve never been in these sorts of situations and this topic has me asking the question: how does a person consent when alcohol is involved? This is so far out of my experience that I don’t know how to think about it.

Yes. That’s why I’m asking. If we are having a conversation about text, I’m curious how people think this should be interpreted through the source material.

Are you familiar with the source material?
