“All of us in here getting money, that alone isn’t gonna stop this,” he says. “Dedicating our lives to getting money just to give it right back for someone’s brand on our body when we spent centuries praying with brands on our bodies.”
I think some people here believe pop music and its influence isn’t ubiquitous or that Justin Timberlake should have spent his career in a mall-goth band because that would be within the parameters of cultural/racial essentialism.
I was a TA for a class where most of the students refused to study. Then they earned bad grades. This resulted in negative remarks about the professor in his evaluation even though he went well beyond what he should have to accommodate students and adjust the course work to their pace. It was really frustrating to…
Absolutely. They must also be taught to distort every word by replacing the letter s with “SH.” Regina Spectre also sings like this. Totally unlistenable. It’s like the female version of Scott Stapp and Creed nonsense but a lot of people still haven’t figured out it’s not cool.
I wasn’t aware band names ever really meant something. This is sorta like some square asking anyone with a tattoo what it means and not being able to fathom it might just be something someone thinks is cool.
It’s because the people around here are sorta clueless when it comes to the jams:
It’s been around for the past ten or fifteen years. It’s absolutely terrible.
I’d really just wish people would learn what emo means.
I haven’t read this review because I haven’t seen the movie and I don’t want to spoil the whole experience but— Isn’t Bobby Finger’s blog pretty much all about uncritically reposting news about narcissist celebrities?
No. Talk to lower middle class who basically have no protection and policy intended to help them. The Affordable Care Act is one policy that doesn’t benefit this demographic (often cheaper to take the tax penalty than to pay for subpar coverage).
I’m not talking about making the choice. It’s obvious. I’m discussing the problems that comes with the obvious choice. Just because she’s better than her opposition doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be critical about her policy and say “Oh, no gains for the vulnerable classes is okay I guess.” That isn’t acceptable.
Oh, sorta like Clinton incrementalism that will indefinitely leave the poor and disappearing middle class behind?
This isn’t pedantry. It’s a statement about bad analysis.
No.
I feel like we had a discussion about this on here before and I agree. Definitely more on the better side of things.
And that’s why he still has a role inspiring Americans to look for a different way.
Also, you know MLK had a speech titled “Where Do We Go From Here”? I suggest you and everyone excited about growing inequality in the US check it out.

I don’t visit reddit and I care. Not everyone sees a bright future in half-measures that mostly support the already privileged.
