Agreed. The GTI looks much better than the R not only in the front, but in the rear as well. The quad exhausts on the R just look ridiculous. The wheels on the R look fantastic in person though, so I guess there’s that.

I’m pretty sure Volkswagen has the exact same issue as Lexus right now. Everybody would love to see a sporty coupe (Scirocco), but what they desperately need is a 3-row crossover. Hell, they just need any SUV that can actually be competitive in the market.

Just traded in my 2010 GTI for a leased 2015 white SE 4-door manual w/ lighting and driver assistance. I didn’t really want the driver assistance package, as it makes the front end look terrible in my opinion, but it was the only car in the midwest that checked all the other options I wanted, and I was sick of waiting…
