Yes, but the bank already has measures in place to prevent robberies in the first place. Not to mention systems in place to trigger alarms and alert authorities if a robbery does occur.

One could argue that “autopilot” is creating a false sense of security that leads to people sleeping while “driving”. Whereas they previously wouldn’t even have that option (falling asleep at the wheel is very different than actively choosing to take a nap).
Jeremy Clarkson alluded to this idea years ago on Top Gear. Most people aren’t into cars and don’t enjoy driving. If they don’t enjoy it, how could you expect them to be good at it (or even have a desire to do well at it)?
THIS. All of this. My OEM LED tail lights with separate amber signal on my GTI are technically not legal in the US. But clowns like this can roam the roads freely? Get out of here.
VW/Audi DSGs are capable of holding 400-500 horsepower before needing upgraded clutches. A stage 1 or 2 tune is well within the performance envelope. My stage 1 GTI with DSG makes 300hp and 317tq and has 72k miles on it - runs perfectly.
The Arteon is exactly what you described. They are already here in the US, but held at port and not on sale just yet.
Initial plan was 2016, but the regulation/requirement was pushed back to 2018 model year vehicles and newer.
Modern gauges are LED backlit for a sharper, cleaner look regardless of day or night. Also helps with contrast/visibility overall.
Newer Audis and such have full LED lighting, including rear fogs. My GTI Euro tails are similarly full LED.
VW got this right years ago. There’s an ambient light sensor in the gauge cluster that dims the backlighting as ambient light decreases. Dark out and headlights not on? Can’t see your gauges until you turn on your headlights.
Honestly not too bad (considering I was already familiar with ripping the dash apart for my MIB2 retrofit a while back). More details here: https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6982237-What-did-you-do-to-your-MKVII-today&p=112613391&viewfull=1#post112613391
You could retrofit it like I did =D 2015 Autobahn here.
At least use 991.2 images - the .1 version is admittedly looking dated by now.
That exhaust tip is comical. Saw this car at the auto show and couldn’t stop laughing at it lol. And this is the “sporty” one!
Let’s be honest. These cars will be leased by wealthier folks who only bring their car to the dealer for service and repairs anyway. Not to mention that they’ll be covered under warranty for the first few years. Not sure those who bring their vehicles to independent shops are the target here, EV or not.
They’re not considered legal at all. But few, if any, get tickets or impounded because of it...
Golf R’s are built in Germany. GTI’s in Mexico.
All great advice. The VW community used to stay along these lines, but its been taken over by the “stance” scene etc. in recent years. That said, I’ve tried to maintain a very OEM+ theme with car. Including a full European infotainment retrofit (virtual cockpit coming soon), and a Clubsport S exhaust for some added…
