The stupid size requirement is exactly why Mk7 GTIs and Golf Rs don’t get the LED tails like in Europe. That didn’t stop us diehards from importing them from Europe and installing a new wiring harness.
I actually much prefer the GLA to the CLA. The proportions are just better as a hatch. And the extra ride height doesn't look bad at all! Would definitely be curious to see one lowered a bit on some coilovers though lol.
Have these on my GTI along with static cornering lights that come on with my turn signal or when I turn my wheel past a certain point. SO helpful at night.
You shouldn’t be introducing any swirls as long as you use a proper/clean applicator.
The VW EA888 Gen 3 in 1.8T form is quite brilliant. Great fuel economy, nice power and torque figures, and can be had for about $17,000 in a base Golf Mk7. And with a simple tune, it can give stock Mk6 and Mk7 GTIs a decent run for their money. Surprised it didnt make this list.

I think it depends on the flip flops. The nicer ones with proper rubber soles are fine, but the cheap foam ones are incredibly slippery and dangerous.

Sounds more like a crappy implementation of keyless than anything else. It is literally impossible for me to lock my key fob in the car, unless i do so with my second key fob. Not really to be honest. It’s never crossed my mind once in the last year I've been driving my Mk7.
It does make getting in and out of the car easier though...
Carbon gray is stunning, and just comes alive after a proper seal and wax. Changes its color based on the surrounding lighting too. Sometimes its gray, sometimes greenish, and other times bluish.
