Yep. My 97 Civic was mostly stock - just had a nice set of wheels, some OEM fog lights, an HID retrofit, and some JDM Red "H" badges. Cant even count how many times other idiots wanted to race me or felt the need to "show off" in front of me lol. Kinda glad to be out of the Honda community now. The VW scene around…
You do realize this was a staged reenactment, right?
Get a proper projector retrofit. Or at the very least, some eBay projectors. There's no excuse for running poorly optimized and much brighter bulbs that blind others….
I'm just messing with you, just going based on that one Aston Martin segment James did lol. All in good fun =)
There was a Top Gear BBC episode where the
guysJAMES was pretty upset when manufacturers would take a perfectly good well rounded performance car and sent to Nurburgring and tuned to the track within an inch of its life for that sake of fast times only to turn the car into a loud spine jarring mess afterwards.
My Honda was the same way. Key wouldn't turn in the off direction unless you were in N or P.
Mmmmm, DSG farts =)
If you're mechanically inclined, it can be taken care of yourself rather easily with a DSG service kit for half the price.
Amen. Surely the cost would be astronomical initially, but I firmly believe the benefits outweigh the cost many, many times over.
Yeah, I've read a lot about it and seen many videos. Prior to my accident, I was actually planning to wait it out for the PP. Seems like a great deal for the price with very tangible benefits. But again, even if I got it I'm not sure I'd actually be able put it through it's paces in day to day driving haha.
This sums it up very nicely - couldn't agree more.
If I'm honest, its quite hard to comment on many of the car's handling characteristics from just day to day driving. In South Florida, we unfortunately don't have many (read: any) driving roads - everything is flat as a pancake and N, S, E, or W haha.
I can assure you he gave me a run - all was initiated by him to begin with. It's possible he missed a shift, but I don't think he did.
Not available in the US yet. Don't think I would have gone for it anyway to be honest - no plans to track the car and doubt I'd ever get to really explore the limits with the diff in day to day driving. Not to mention my previous car was totaled when I got rear-ended in May, so my time frame to get a car was…
No problem that it's built on a completely new platform that's 200 lbs lighter, much stiffer, and has a new engine with loads more torque...
Picked mine up in early June and have yet to stop smiling. While it may not be the quickest or cheapest, I feel its easily the best and most well-rounded option out there for roughly $30k. Its got loads of power and even more torque, the DSG trans is absolutely superb, and the fit and finish is great. The interior is…
Yep. This is the lorem ipsum of numbers at play here. Move along.
Makes me sick to my stomach.
