That's actually a fair point. Though I'd argue the ST brand is more about performance than "top of the line" if that makes sense. The Focus and Fiesta ST just so happen to come with a lot of nice standard features, whereas there are already top of the line trims of the standard (non-ST) cars.

Mustang ST gets my vote. Makes perfect sense given the powertrain and fits very nicely with the ST branding. Mustang Turbo is the only other viable option in my mind.

Fantastically relevant. Thanks for sharing!

And he wrapped it around a pole at one point. Had it fixed and kept on truckin'.

This is actually due to a regulation that brake lights can't be on a moving body piece. The rear deck moves when the top is being raised or lowered. And because it can done while rolling, its not legal to have any indicator lights on that piece.

THIS. I absolutely HATE that. Who the hell in the DOT approved that? You're exactly right - it desensitizes you when looking at GM vehicles with the white lights on in back.

Yep, some cars have "perforated" red lenses that allow for an amber bulb to shine through when on.

Makes perfect sense. But in all honesty, they need to make the LED running lights the turn signals as well. It's not hard to have an LED that can be both white and amber. Some manufacturers do this (Mercedes on some models I think, among others).

Believe it or not, I think the signals have to be mounted apart from those tail light clusters because of yet another DOT rule regarding the height of turn signals.

Is the GIF really necessary when the video is 13 seconds long?

"Status" does not necessarily have to equate to perceived wealth or exclusivity. The original comment is referring to the perceived "eco-consciousness" that one might gain from owning a Prius for example. Psychologically, it might make them feel "superior".

They could still be parted out though (wheels, etc.)

This was my favorite part when I was there last year. That's the bridge that they show in all those car commercials btw.

Took this route last year from San Fran down to Monterey and it was absolutely breath-taking. I was in a 15 passenger van on a college field trip though, so I wasn't fortunate enough to actually drive it. I'm determined to return at some point and rent a decent sports car for the day just to drive along this road.

The same can be said about a lot of older Hondas. They genuinely made some fantastic little cars back in the 90's. My 97 Civic, while down on power, is still more enjoyable to drive than a lot of brand new cars. But I can't agree more on the lost rigidity over time. There are some squarely moments in my car under

Dear God, that is hideous.

I'm sorry - this looks like shit. I've seen better custom iPad installations than this.

97 Civic and same thing here.

It's really not just about switches. Thats merely one example. Its the entire package and user experience inside and out. The new Cadillacs are certainly nice, but they're missing something. Its kind of intangible to be honest. Sorry if I'm not able to convey my thoughts/opinions effectively.

Yep, my point exactly.
