Don't be fooled by the Impala. It looks pretty great in commercials and photos, but its nowhere near as impressive in the flesh. It only looks remotely decent in top of the line trim, but even then you can tell its a gussied up rental/fleet car.

As a 97 Civic owner, I couldn't agree more. The day they pulled the plug on the S2000 and 8th gen Si is the day Honda died. They used to be a forward-thinking company run by their excellent engineers. But now they've become complacent and boring, and overruled by the pencil-pushers.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Its possible the one you were driving had an issue then. I was extremely impressed by it when I drove the GTI a while back.
