Based on how they've marketed the system, they're able to offer infinitely variable types of steering feel (feedback, assistance strength, # of turns lock to lock, etc.). I believe the Q50 when equipped with this option only has 3 or 4 modes though. I guess on paper, its a pretty appealing attribute - but not…
Not just an Si, a Mugen Si. My favorite Civic ever.
Jettas finally (and thankfully) come with disc brakes as standard now. The 2014 (15?) model quietly did away with the twist beam axel and drums and brings IRS and discs.
Missed gold by about half a second on my first go and got the M4, some credits, and a paint chip. Retried and got gold to get a bit more credits and another paint chip. You're not missing much haha.
Picked up the gold on my second attempt last night and found it rather easy. Whats your setup? Wheel or controller?
I tried doing a quick search to back that claim up but can't seem to find a specific reference to the running light colors - just that the R18 has full LED headlights. Perhaps I heard that in a video at some point. But my understanding was that different colors indicate if the capacitor has a charge or not (or if…
The main headlights are actually LED as well. And the colors have something to do with indicating the state of the hybrid system and capacitor.
Those are only running lights. But the colors indicate various states of the hybrid system. Don't recall what the colors mean, but I've seen them pink, red, blue, and white in previous LM24 races on the R18.
Wouldn't her heart be the one breaking over and over?
Such a shame. Seems like most of the people who can buy cars like this really don't know all the intricacies and details such as this one. Obviously, there are plenty of owners who do know, but I'd hazard a guess that they are few and far between. All the while, folks like you and I lust after these cars for years…
This.
Regarding the clutch, not too many people realize that Porsche built in an auto-throttle for taking off from a standstill. All the driver needs to do is gently release the clutch as normal without feeding in any gas. The car will take care of the rest until the clutch is fully engaged. Always pains me to see/hear…
Hey media:
Stop giving these assholes the attention and airtime. Whenever their shit gets posted online and shown on TV, they win. They don't deserve the attention, so stop giving it to them.
Agreed. Sounds like a Gallardo/R8 given the "half-V10" config. Love it.
I have indeed. A family member bought an Accord Sport a few months back and I ride in it frequently, and have driven it on occasion. While its certainly better than Nissan's offering, I still don't care for the "jerky" feeling it gives sometimes (mainly at low speeds when getting on and off the throttle). Just not…
A3 sedan!
While I'm not a huge fan of the new Accord (CVT kills it for me), and absolutely despise the Camry (the generic washing machine of the road), I can't say I'd take a CLA over either of them if I were forced to choose.
Not sure what dual clutch transmissions you've experienced, but I've never thought of them as not being smooth. The VW GTI's DSG comes to mind right away. Smooth, super fast, and engaging.
That's my point as well. Given the sporting nature of this car, smoothness and fuel efficiency are already lower on the priority list. A DSG style gearbox fits the character of this car a lot better than a CVT (and is incredibly smooth and efficient anyway).
