A CVT? Fail. At the very least, the "automatic" option should be a dual clutch.

Haha yeah. But to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if its some asinine DOT regulation that forces them to keep it that way.

Agreed. The VR6 in the R32 is easily among my top 5 favorite engines for the sound alone.

I know how you feel. I've got a 97 coupe (http://goo.gl/zG40ND), which is still fairly popular and easy to find parts for, but its inevitable over time.

Best design ever. Loved the 4 door even more.

Honda has really lost it in recent years. Makes me sad =(

HOLY. WANT.

What a self-centered, narcissistic, inconsiderate way of thinking about things...

Let me guess: you also barrel down the road and tailgate smaller cars, "intimidating" them to move out of your way.

To use an unnecessarily massive SUV to haul around just yourself is colossally stupid and extremely self-centered.

I'll tell you what I won't miss: not having cruise control.

What the hell is going on here? Designers need to make up their mind what rear "diffuser" design elements they want to go with.

There's just way too much going from a design standpoint. No solid theme or design language, almost as if they just threw everything they could think of into it. Very unrefined/unpolished. Not a fan.

Finalgear.net > streetfire.

Was just going to say the same thing. That's just appalling.

It's a different kind of engineering exercise. Ultimate speed has been done before (and dominated by the same auto group, mind you). This is a breath of fresh air and a unique take on what a super car can be.

It truly is a modern reincarnation of the absolutely stunning Carrera GT.

Easily one of the most sensible comments about the new Corvette I've ever read. Glad I'm not the only one with these sentiments.

This is GM we're talking about. Did you really expect them to pay attention to details and achieve a high level of refinement?

Nope, definitely not normal. On such a big and heavy jet with loads of drag from fully extended flaps and landing gears, engines shouldn't really be at idle until they're right over the runway/touchdown area.

I lol'd.

New update as per CNN tonight: the pilot only had 44 hours of 777 flight time (not much at all), and this was his first time flying one into SFO. This, coupled with the debris, eye witness reports, video, and black box info only strengthens the pilot error theory.
