The fact that this movie wasn't greenlit the Monday after No Way Home premiered but instead Sony decided to make a Morbius movie and a Madame Web movie is like exhibit A for how movie studio bosses are stupid.

Depends, have they run out of people who can comment on Nickelodeon shows and the issues behind the scenes? I wonder if Rebel Wilson has any comments about Sam & Cat? If she did this whole place might implode.
Just not worrying about it is probably the best attitude to have. Although while it might not be the worst Ghostbusters movie is absolutely is the worst movie starring Melissa McCarthy directed by Paul Feig. Although it is still better than any Melissa McCarthy movie directed by her husband. The point being there are…
Sure, it's just weird that it seems like every other article here is about inappropriate behaviour behind the scenes at Nickelodeon shows.
Wow did AV Club really mention a Nickelodeon kid's show without talking about any behind the scenes misconduct?
Someone should check old interviews with Matthew Perry, maybe he had some thoughts on Nickelodeon shows when he was still alive.
Wow, the AV Club is getting so much mileage out of Quiet on the Set someone might think that Olivia Wilde was directing those Nickelodeon shows.
That seems like a part of the story that could use more of an explanation. Like what is the point of even having an actor's union if someone who was the star of a show on a major cable channel, that ran for 4 seasons doesn't get residuals? If it is that easy to get around a collective bargaining contract, it seems…
I don't really get it. All she (or her agent) would have to do was look at any of the Sony spiderman movies without spiderman to see that they aren't some kind of fancy art thing. And even the Venom movies which were the best received weren't very good.
Isn’t it also like a blanket rights thing? Like a venue pays one fee for the rights to a licensing company to use every song in their giant catalog. It is not like a hockey arena is writing a cheque to Freddie Mercury's estate every time they play We Will Rock You. That wouldn't work for anyone.
Yea, it is one thing to get people like Rob Schneider or David Spade to keep showing up for your movies. But it is something else to get people like Henry Winkler, Steve Buscemi or Idina Menzel to come back when they could actually be doing something else. I recently read Winkler’s autobiography and he talks about how…
It always seems funny when people are surprised that Adam Sandler can actually act. Because he has been a movie star for almost 30 years and always gets very talented actors to show up for his movies. People like Kathy Bates, John Turturro, Jack Nicholson, Henry Winkler, Peter Dinklage, Brian Cox, Susan Sarandon and…
Except the article says that Friedel and Strong were both in their 20's when they showed up in support for this guy in court. So while maybe not exactly the same, still not great.
Yea they probably didn’t want to make Pam look bad by breaking up with someone who was a decent or even almost decent guy who just wasn’t who she wanted. Which is weird since so much of the story is about Pam finding her voice and deciding what she wants. So it could have been interesting to have her decide she…
Yea I have been watching The Office with my kids. I haven’t watched it since it went off the air and they have never seen it. We are almost done season 3 and it is kind of weird now that I think about it how much they made Roy not just a bad fiance but a bad person. I wonder if the did that so Pam wouldn’t look bad…
Sometimes when I watch the Office I feel kind of bad for David Denman who played Roy. Roy starts out as basically the same character as Andy from Parks and Rec. But while Roy just sort of became a really shitty violent ex-fiance, Andy became the lovable doofus ex boyfriend and Chris Pratt turned that into an A list…
I feel like I ask this every time I read an article about one of these Sony Spider man side projects, but why aren't they making Tobey Maguire Spider man 4?
Halt and Catch fire was such a great and underrated show. I did a free month of AMC+ last year and rewatched the whole thing. It really holds up well (I hadn't watched it since it was originally on). Plus I can’t think of another show where the fourth (especially the fourth and final) season is the best.
So the description doesn't really say much. Is this story set in modern times or in olden times?
Universal Studios has had an amusement park in Florida for over 30 years, so I can't believe it has taken until now for them to make an area for the classic Universal monsters. It seems so obvious.
