The whole Feige/Perlmutter thing is super interesting. The craziest part to me is that even 32 movies in, the best movie is still one that came out when Perlmutter was in charge (Captain America: Winter Soldier).

I would have hoped so, but then we got the Miley Cyrus Ashley O episode, which was basically a celebrity's brain downloaded into an Alexa.

Wow so far none of those episodes sound like the standard BM “brain downloaded into a computer” episode. So good job Black Mirror.

I would argue that the monarchy actually works every day. Hosting state dinners, meeting dignitaries, weekly meetings with prime ministers, public appearances and visits to other countries all sounds like work to me. And Queen Elizabeth did that for 70 years. And it was a job she basically had zero choice in.

I like a Closer look, but I agree that even within it, the funniest parts usually aren’t the political stuff, it’s usually when Seth goes on weird side tangents like Al Pacino impressions or making fun of Wally or talking to the Sea Captain. Although his Trump impression makes me laugh too.

Original 911 is actually a pretty decent show especially for that type of show. Lone Star is not nearly as good as has practically become the Rob Lowe show making it so much worse.

Just a correction, but Corrections isn't part of Late Night with Seth Myers, meaning it wasn't part of his Friday show on NBC. It's a separate YouTube only feature that he does.

The only Amy Adams and Adam McKay movie I want to see is Talladega Nights 2 (Talladega Days?). But I feel like that will probably never happen for some very stupid reasons.

I don't think I ever saw the Craig Kilborn Daily Show, but I remember him hosting The Late Late show, so I am going to guess that his TDS was probably similar. Less political stuff and more bits and other jokes based on him and his personality. And I would imagine a Mulaney Daily Show would probably be more like that.

The internet's hottest website is the AV Club. This place has everything:

I feel like I ask this every time, but why isn't Sony making a Tobey Maguire Spider man movie that is a sequel to his movies and No Way Home? That's like 100's of millions of dollars just sitting there.

Ya the getting into MIT thing is a bit more tricky because of how fast it happened, but Peter getting outed as Spiderman and having to hire Matt as his lawyer because that was the only one he could afford and then stay in Happy’s apartment because there was no where is he could go makes Pepper look shitty considering

If fans blame the artists directly I can see it costing artists money. If Ticketmaster can act as a buffer and the artists act like they can't do anything about it they have a bit of shielding.

The funny thing is for at least the last few big tours, Pearl Jam has used Ticketmaster to sell their fanclub tickets. And to be honest it has worked way smoother than when they have tried to manage ticket sales on their own. So maybe what TM charges is worth it if I don't have to spend a whole day in front of my

And bands aren’t stupid, and realize if you expect people to do that, you are seriously limiting the number of people are able to buy tickets.

I have seen Pearl Jam 6 times since 1998 and even they recognize that if tickets are going to be super expensive and non-transferable, you kind of need a way to make them refundable. The last time I saw them was in September 2022, which was a show that was originally supposed to be March 2020, which means I got my

The fact that Pepper didn't do anything to help Peter Parker in No Way Home (either to get into MIT or when bad publicity was destroying his life) makes me thing she probably sold off her ownership of Stark industries and started up a lifestyle brand.

Box office only is probably fine for artists with smaller fanbases who only play big cities. But if your a big artist on a stadium or even arena tour, you kind of expect people to travel from outside that city to see your show. If you are just selling tickets at the venue they probably aren't going to do that.

I think a lot of artists won’t want to do the all in ticket thing, because when prices are stupid expensive the fans will blame them. With TM they get kind of a buffer of someone else that the fans can hate.

I watched the show on DVD about 10 years ago. Overall it’s good but there are some pretty week episodes. A jump to the 20's would be fun, since the show was already set in the tail end of the old west and it came out 30 years ago.
