Yea I kind of worded that bad I get that he would have no time to direct a movie, but even writing the script seems like a huge job with all the other shit he would be responsible for.

So Gunn is too busy to direct a big budget movie because of his job as a studio boss, but he just knocks out a script for that movie like in his spare time?

Especially since she comes from a society of warrior women. You would think she would be better able to handle the death in battle of someone she cared about.

The only bad thing I wonder is will this just push a bunch of the VFX work overseas? Like how a lot of animation is done in places like South Korea?

Not only does she have sex with him (during the AIDS crisis no less) but she also puts him in grave danger several times on missions.

What is so weird is that a big part of the plot is the whole be careful what you wish for deal with the devil kind of thing. But instead of the bad part of WW’s wish being she had to accept that she was stealing someone’s body to her her boyfriend back, it was that she weirdly started losing her powers (and the body

Remember when Wonder Woman got this bad ass Amazon armor that was supposed to make a huge difference and it was destroyed by Cheetah in about 20 seconds.

So very bad. I assume that James Gunn probably watched it and realized how it made no sense. If the treatment for WW3 was more of that, doing something else with the character makes sense.

I am not sure if it is any consolation, but I imagine the same kind of conversations are probably becoming at least a little more common for male actors. Like I am sure if Hugh Jackman showed up for the first day of filming of Days of Future Past and he wasn’t completely shredded with single digit percent body fat

Wow Spielberg BFG and Burton Chocolate Factory don't even crack the top 10?

My understanding is that he doesn’t spend the entire movie being 600 lbs and is a lot smaller for part of it (not sure if he gains weight and becomes that big or starts that big and loses weight). So do you get a guy that big then have him lose weight during production or do you find someone who can gain enough weight

Also “The Studio" means Harvey Weinstein right? I am surprised they didn't fit that in somewhere.

I also wonder if the business owner in a case like this could get away with just saying, I don't feel qualified to provide the services you need, I could try but I probably wouldn't do a good job so you might want to go with someone else would that work. Like if an architect who had never designed a church before got

Oh yeah just calling it Max is stupid. All I was trying to say was that I get how they were trying to separate the streaming service from HBO since it was more than just HBO.

If it's going to be more than just HBO stuff it seems pretty logical to me. I mean I wouldn't expect Disney+ to ever be called ABC+.

That was a great podcast series, super well researched and informative. Although I think my favourite part was how the host pronounced Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.

I think it might be a bit more complicated for older movies. I mean what was the marketing budget for something like Black Cauldron? Probably some newspaper ads, some posters and a trailer. It's not like there would be a huge multi-media push with a huge press junket and comic-con appearances. For movies pre-1948 it

That's not really true. The "You Must Remember This" podcast did a great series on the movie and explained how even in 1946 there were people who called it out as racist. There were even protests of movie theatres during the original run. So it is not like this was a movie that was socially acceptable when it came out

In 30 Rock one of the characters was going to star in a Janis Joplin biopic. But they couldn't get the approval from Joplin's estate to use her name or songs. So it became an unofficial biopic and Janis Joplin became Jackie Jormp-Jomp.

Maybe it will be a Jackie Jormp-Jomp kind of thing and no one will get any money.
