I was pretty taken aback by Gone Girl being listed this high too. I think it’s fair to say that Fincher understood the themes and implications of Fight Club, better than Chuck did. But Gone Girl is the opposite... it seemed like Fincher had no idea what it was about, and made a generic femme fatale movie in its place.

I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. Seven could’ve been one of the first slides, and I would’ve just nodded and moved on. I found it a bit too predictable at the time, and it felt to me like it was just going through the motions. It may be worth a rewatch, as I have a habit of being a bit too dismissive.

It’s always shocking to me how many people around me STILL don’t get Fight Club. I had a friend going “Tyler Durden was a cool guy with a cool point”, and if I head-desked any harder, I would’ve leveled the building.

tbh, I think the RPG genre (specifically in videogames) has become so ubiquitous, that it doesn’t have a ton of meaning anymore. We each seem to have our own definition of what makes a game an RPG.

That’s a shame. Speaking for myself, I don’t really consider this to be a bug, but more of a feature. I couldn’t play GTAV until after they had a first person mode (not that it magically made it into a good game, because it didn’t).

  • Various optimizations, performance improvements and crash fixes.

I think the only charitable read would be that maybe Konami is focusing more of their efforts on a proper, MGS4 port, seeing that it’s never been ported to anything.

Eh, I can acknowledge the gravity of this crisis, and feel a bit smug that the GoP’s sabotaged themselves so hard that they can’t even point to the dems (though... I guess one just did).

This is the correct take. I don’t know either celeb very well, and I don’t care to. The only item of interest is that the weird marriage limbo, plus Chris Rock propositioning Pink fully explains the Slappening (tm). It was pretty obvious to me that it was the result of a lot of pent up frustration and interpersonal

I really have to give a shout out to Hi Fi Rush. I didn’t take to it immediately, cuz I set the difficulty to Hard, and the game absolutely DEMOLISHED ME!!!! After starting over at normal, it’s still balls-hard for the last chapter, but man is it a good time! Also, I think Chai is the perfect parody of Dante (dmc).

It’s possible, but if memory serves, Commander is still a relatively new adoption. I seriously doubt Joe Bident has spent enough time bonding with Comm for him to become protective.

Yeah, the main question on my mind is how much time was spent actually acclimating Comm to the Whitehouse? How much socialization. I’m a volunteer therapy dog handler, but if I have the opportunity to take a dog to a venue to let them scope it out before actually working that location, I will. If that venue was the

Wow. Take a hint and stop talking. Who knows, you might learn a lesson that way.

Yes, I know. I read it

Hah! My oldest dog is great for that. He has a great dipshit-dar! If Machete (name o’ dog) doesn’t like someone immediately, it means they’re a dangerous sociopath.

I will say that the GlassDoor profile on Epic Games was very illuminating. Epic very much sounds like they’re affected by pretty much everything that makes AAA game development unsustainable.

“In terms of subscriptions and the impact on larger publishers I realized that I haven’t really done a good job sharing our view on the disruption AAA publishers potentially see and how their role in the industry will likely change with the growth in subscription platforms like Xbox Game Pass,” Spencer wrote

This was a weird, long-winded way of saying “never meet your heroes”.

This isn’t a put-down: you’re correct. You don’t play enough games of this type. This is pretty common with mainstream games that feature avatar-populated lobbies. Easy examples would include CoD, Battlefield, Darktide, WoW, Street Fighter 6, Dragon Ball Fighterz, to name a few.

That time a Kotaku editor discovered a lobby spawn point for the first time :p
