Yeah, well I’m sorry I don’t like games other people like. I don’t jump down people’s throats for not liking the games I happen to like, in much the same way I don’t jump down someone’s throat for liking pineapple pizza. I don’t demand that they provide foundation for that taste.
Ha! Incidentally I have a giant-ass melon, myself.
Oh, I definitely agree that they did a great job on the core cast (and that’s saying something, cuz I generally avoid the SFII roster like the plague)! They fixed a lot of things they botched in SFV, especially Blanka. This is probably the best looking Zangief since Alpha/Zero. Also, how did they somehow slap MORE…
Forgive me, but I didn’t feel like writing out an entire dissertation on why I dislike a game developer’s works, only to get a really long winded “nuh-uh” response. That was besides the point, and the underlying complaint was “you don’t like the game I like and I take issue with that.”
The what was all this about? The finer points of baking?
I don't remember asking for your approval.
Okay. My opinion is that Arkane is a B+ tier dev at best, and that their games are anachronistic, and that they’re basically a Looking Glass cover band.
Right, which is why I framed it as “This take is due in part to the opinion.”
Welcome to the “Boy, all of the new SF6 character designs are gd awful” club. The refreshment table is over there --->
Yes, because bad releases happen all the time. But this wasn’t Cyberpunk 2077, or MCC, or even freaking No Man’s Sky. It’s a kitschy shooter (supposedly), from a much liked B-Team dev, that shat the bed on the way out the door.
Dude, everything about SF6 is beyond extra. From the overwrought level threes to the ORGASM OF PAINT from the new focus attacks... it’s just... a lot. And I ADORE my visually dazzling games, and fighting games are known to be super stylish. But SF6 has run right past “extra”, and is exiting the stadium at full tilt.
I meant what I said. Most of their games seem to call back to older games from previous generations. Right up until DeathLoop, they didn’t really seem interested in making new games, just paying homage to existing games. And for me, to underwhelming effect. I’d almost call them the Looking Glass tribute band.
I’ve never seen such an overreaction to what is simply an average game which, let’s face it, was never going to be make-or-break for Xbox’s success, and certainly wasn’t hyped to the level Starfield is.
eeech. Online therapy is pretty dubious to begin with. Great idea at face value, but once you start digging into individual companies and their practices, you realize you’re basically dealing with Uber Shrink.
I think it makes perfect sense. Titanfall 2 doesn’t really give a good first impression, and the intro stage is a bit hum-drum. I was kind of tepid on it at first, but once some of the crazy-house stages make an appearance, it really shines!
I say this with zero animosity. I'm not being condescending or belittling, even though it will absolutely sound like it: your loss.
Wow... Really!?!? That’s your takeaway? Some cheap, $5.00 bothsidesism?
