Never get stuck in my AWD Passat with all season Michelins. That’s what AWD is for, not for handling in snow but allowing you to go up hills and not get stuck. The Haldex works perfectly in my car.

That’s how stoplights were many, many places until they realized how stupid it was (red - yellow - green no doubt caused some accidents to those not paying attention).

It has nothing to do with VWOA and everything to do with the Fatherland. Jesus.

Hi, Happy to maka u acquaintance. 2008 Passat 85k miles. Nicht issues.

Awesome, awesome ads. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, they do go off. Smartass.

Like so many other articles about “dieselgate” you’ll get a fairly low number of clicks here because so many people really don’t care about this issue — it’s all about deceiving Big Brother with emissions from 600K cars.

I really like the exterior but — and maybe it's because it's black with silver trim in the picture — the interior looks slightly claustrophobic and very busy, and also kind of "blingy," for lack of a better word. The infotainment thing does look like it's detachable and I sort of wish they would've gone with a full

Man, I know tons of people with that experience, from me to several others; some baby their cars and others beat the crap out of them with no issues either way. I live in the northeast where there a quite a few VWs.

They underrate to complete with European pricing rules, so the cars a cheaper and thus a little more affordable. VW and BMW are well known for underrating their engines' power.

Yet another reason to spout a dumbass hater comment about a VAG product ... as if you needed one.

Yeah, a decade ago.

But of course they didn’t kill anyone because they sold only half a million vehicles out of how many hundreds of millions of cars on American roads?

Agreed. I love my OEM Euro tail lights I imported for my ‘08 Passat — bright and quite noticeable, duel LED type that blinks amber over red (instead of idiotic US DOT-approved red over red), but definitely not Audi-blinding bright!

Headlight washers, I believe, at least according to ECE Standards I’ve read, are for spritzing muck off the headlights to reduce glare to oncoming drivers — the thin film that accumulates over time can apparently cause glare, I would think with any type of lighting, although HID and LED you would think would be worse.

No Takata. VW does know better; they use TRW and Autoliv.

It's really the clockspring that's being recalled and airbags are supplied by either TRW or Autoliv — you know, the good ones.

I’ve had three German cars, and one is a 2008 which I still drive — no airbag lights on any of them. That said, it’s actually the clockspring that’s being recalled.

One of my many massive pet peeves. Other drivers truly are inconsiderate, illogical AssHats.

This is so true. God forbid you leave a gap between you and the car in front there's always an AssHat to fill it Highly annoying.
