This! There is a neighborhood of suburban San Diego where skimming is RAMPANT, and it’s almost exclusively limited to the independent gas stations there. If you use your card at the pump at one of them you will be skimmed, more likely than not. Despite numerous reports to the police, credit card fraud departments, and

Obviously disappointed that it’s missing the RB, but along with that I’d almost rather it didn’t have an updated and fancy interior. The car was a half started restoration project that they pulled from the garage because they had nothing else and they had to get it ready for the drift-off in what I can’t imagine was

Judging by those pictures, that is/was a Ferrari 360 Spider, not a 355.  Someone got duped!

IIt is a way to get big projects financed with an open credit line. You do realize public money means it comes from the public to be used for the public good right? And that private companies are paid with public funds to build things for the public right? And that they do this for profit?

The bigger picture is Musk looking for ways to convert public money to private profits? Isn’t that his thing?

awfully lonely up here

That’s for people in Fancy Kristen’s price bracket, the GLS is for substantially less important people.

“No, no it’s definitely a sports car,” Popham assured me. “Very much a sports car. Day-to-day limitations will be addressed in the new sports car, but it will absolutely be a sports car.”

Your screen name makes me want to switch mine to “Mulholand Ali”. :)

I get the impression that he drives them but doesn’t drive them hard... which is fine. As long as you take it out for a Sunday drive from time to time I don’t think it’s necessary to thrash an exotic to enjoy it.

Now playing

It’s not a wild ride, but it depends how you drive it. Had it competed in group B, as originally intended, it might have looked like this... (and I don’t condone doing this to one of the most beautiful cars ever made, but I understand the driver’s daddy could easily pay for any repair required)

Don’t want to dis the 288 at all, they’re all lovely, but, il Commendatore picked kind of a bad time to have “only” 395 hp (but it’s ok because the F40 went and made everyone forget how slow this was, and then Ruf came around and was like “lol, u guys are cute”)

15 years with me, and 28 years with my father before that. This one is definitely my forever car.

Isn’t this likely to be closer in price to a Versa than a Chiron?

I assume F8 is pronounced “Fate”

I seem to recall this being a topic of discussion on The Smoking Tire’s podcast last week, and the underlying reason was basically “because it’s period correct for my period correct project car.”

Air BNB.

Yeah, Spectre is a silly mess, but I enjoyed it. Like I enjoyed other silly Bond messes like Moonraker or Die Another Day or Quantum of Solace. Bond is like pizza - even if it’s bad, it’s still Bond, and I don’t know, I can find something to enjoy even in the duds.
