I would’ve been more upset if we ended under a safety car than how it ended. I still think it should’ve been red flagged as soon as Latifi spun. It could be argued that there’s no safe way to clean up debris in such a tight course while cars are still lapping.

FWIW, entering the track and pits and being in F1 is being part of a very large TV show. If you aren’t interested in it, grab a seat with the rest of the plebes.

Devil’s advocate here: the semiconductor industry was deemed critical infrastructure as it supports just about everything: data centers, communication, healthcare, defense, etc, and rightly so. With more people than ever working from home and stressing network infrastructure, semiconductor demand is high to keep

I’m guessing it isn’t street legal, but on the off chance that it is,you could get this and be the talk of Radwood!

Probably because you’ve seen the tail lights on a S2 Espada.

Do they have a good rep around town?

I don’t have global entry and they’ve been doing this to me for at least two years.

In your defense, you still have your van.

People get upset about all the wrong things.

I insisted Ed be in the movie, for obvious reasons, but this movie is half about the US Express, and half about our run.

I’m not aware that video footage exists of runs after ours, but I’d love to see that movie!

I’ve been wearing scarves ever since my mother said my neck looked fat. It makes her happy.

Lucky for you, more than half the movie is other people, and they’re fascinating.

Better skip the videos I shot with Ed for his Vinwiki channel! :-)

Thanks for the kind words. :-)

Ed gets his well deserved appearance, of course, as do other teams who broke our time! If Ed had footage from his run, we would have loved to include it. I’m unaware that anyone shot as much footage as we did. I would love to watch a movie about someone else doing it, as long as they do

As someone who grew up in the 70s and 80s, reading Car & Driver and seeing the movies as a kid, I was fascinated by the distinctly it’s-against-all-the-rules-but-I’m-doing-it-anyway mentality of the Cannonballers. The stark reality of actually doing this mad dash is a world away from the comedic Hollywood portrayals,

Do you or anyone have the Cliffs Notes on what happened with the original movie? When he did his run, there was a woman in the back filming a lot of it, and was supposed to turn into a movie. Did that not ever happen?

YES!!!!! Finally!!!! Congrats Alex Roy! I remember I was on a business trip in 2006 in Miami. As it wrapped up a friend and I went to get a drink on Ocean Drive where I saw a very interesting blue M5 parked with German Polezi livery and a bunch of antennas shooting off the back. I knew the car was special and dove

Not that banks or big corporations need defending...

Jay Leno states repeatedly in the video that Ferrari gave the car their blessing to be presented as a Ferrari.
