If you haven’t driven one lately, I encourage you to check out Mazda’s product line. My wife and I were so convinced, that we’ve purchased two (one brand-new off the lot) Mazda’s in the last 10 years. We owned the new 6, and a previous generation of the CX-9. They outshined the BMW’s at the dealership next door, and

I’m not a fan of this phrase in its current usage, either. It was different when it was more verbose, like “It’s giving me ‘______’ vibes.” But now, the usage noted above, or more common terms “It’s giving ick,” and statements like that just make me cringe.

Saying something falls in the uncanny valley effectively says what you feel. Put more simply, sure; you could say “It looks *just* a little bit off, and makes me feel uncomfortable.” -But “The Uncanny Valley” puts the feeling in words, along with the reasons as to why.

Never let ‘ignorance of the facts’ get in the way of a good story!

As someone who ROUTINELY uses “stealth” mode in my C7 ZO6 to re-enter my neighborhood quietly, I absolutely would appreciate an EV Mode return transition option. I leave my house at 5:15am, in Stealth, to not wake the neighbors or my own kids. I’ll often return from an evening out, anywhere from 10pm to 2:30am, and

Hi. Californian here. Also (now former) Mazda owner, two different models; the late-model 6, and a CX-9.

The 10-second penalty for incorrectly serving the 5-second penalty has precedent: Ocon was awarded similar penalties at Bahrain two weeks ago.

If you aren’t sure “why [I] couldn’t use an EV version...” my friend, you may be on the wrong website. Earther is elsewhere. And because, for all their efficiencies and benefits, EVs lack the emotion and cacophony that an pushrod V8 offer. For me, it’s like the difference between a well-smoked, reverse-seared Ribeye

This is incredibly inaccurate.  My 2005-vintage motorcycle has a catalytic converter.

This car is for ME.  I DD a C7 ZO6, and I LOVE having a 650-horsepower daily driver.... but I ALSO hate having to pussy-foot to manage 22mpg.  I would GLADLY dawdle along in EV-only mode for the first 20(ish) miles of my commute, and unleash all hell for the last 6 (private, smooth, curvy, hilly drive to my work

Phoning in from California here; I owned a 1988-Vintage Alltrac for several years in the early 2000's.  Heavy (for a sport compact) and underpowered (for its weight), it was still a fun car.

I respectfully disagree.  I believe it should sit in the front lobby at the AMG-Merc F1 technical center’s lobby.  It should serve as a reminder that even the greatest team (at the time) can absolutely bungle a new design.  Never forget.

*Basterds. Tarantino spelled it that way.

This is the correct take.  “Eyes closed” behind the wheel of a car, he wouldn’t have someone else accelerating and braking for him.  It’s easy to remember the directions of turns at a track you’ve raced (and simulated) tens or hundreds of times...

Thanks for that bit of history insight, friend!

You’re both technically correct.

...and didn’t “Bentley” win one of those years, just in an old-spec Audi closed-cockpit racer...?  My memory fails, and my searching skills are limited (at work).

On the contrary; we got the CTS-V wagon, WITH a manual transmission!
