Incredible actor and an icon. She will certainly be missed.
Incredible actor and an icon. She will certainly be missed.
I worked with her for about 5 weeks on the set of a TV movie way back in 1980. She was a sweet, gentle, funny lady and even though I haven’t seen her in 40 years I’ll miss her.
I’ve been dreading seeing this headline for a few years. I love Leachman as a performer. She’s one of the best comedic talents of all time. I believe it was Bob Saget’s Comedy Central Roast where she absolutely killed and surpassed a dais full of comedians. I’ll miss her.
It seems like the comment section here only knows Kristen Stewart from Twilight. Watch Personal Shopper or Clouds of Sils Maria.
Billy Vera renews his 1987 pledge to subtract twenty years from his life, and fall down on his knees in order to kiss the ground that she walks on.
Such a shame that he wasn’t murdered in some exotic, mysterious way that could only be sorted out by an affable, quirky investigator. He probably would have enjoyed it.
Yeah. That moment. I rolled it back to watch the minutes before because I figured I must have missed some sort of plot point, comment or activity that prompted the action. Nope. I watched more episodes, expecting to find out about some unrevealed reason for the sudden murder. Nope.
I hope he changes back into Colin Farrell. He was easily the best thing about the first film (though Jacob and the sisters were good too) and I can’t imagine anyone being excited when the twist revealed him to really be - and downgraded him to - just another quirky Johnny Depp character.
Arthur Conan Doyle’s horror fiction, and he wrote a ton of it, is terrific. It’s like a prose version of a good vintage Hammer film. “Lot No. 249,” an early mummy tale, is hair-raising. His seance stories are a very accurate portrayal of the real thing at the time and an interesting glimpse into the crazy pathology…
Shirley Jackson’s “The Haunting of Hill House”. Things are just ever so slightly wrong at every turn. It lets you know that it’s going to creep up on you, then pulls the rug out from under you all the same. You know some kind of terror is coming, but when it comes it’s so much stranger and inexplicable than you…
I mean to be fair, in addition to being racist, outside of the animated segments Song of the South is incredibly dull. Make no mistake, I agree they Song of the South should be featured with a disclaimer. Maybe even a documentary discussing the context of the movie. But the movie’s mystique is less about its quality…
“Other films tagged with the disclaimer include The Aristocats for its racist depiction of East Asians via the Siamese cats Si and Am”
I can’t imagine the stress of being the sole nominee and the fear of not getting 60% no matter how good his chances are. Just imagining, days leading to the awards, losing as a sole nominee live on tv must be a scary thought.
Psych is my go-to feel good background noise or going to sleep show. I don’t know that I’ve seen better chemistry among leads than between James Roday Rodriguez and Dule Hill. Hill’s versatility is pretty incredible. I also love how they make Gus a tap dancer because Dule himself is.
That liar. He stepped up his Michael Jackson game on the talent show American Duos!
I disagree with you when it comes to Jodie, I think she’s great in the role, she’s just been let down by some terrible scripts and never had the chance to shine (or be that Doctor-y, either). Otherwise I agree with you though, and I really hated the revisions to the Doctor’s back story, and think Chibnall is easily…
Ray Milland’s a funny one too. I once was in a (lost) argument where I was absolutely convinced he played the satanic neighbour in Rosemary’s Baby. Turns out he played that part in the sequel, which bizarrely I’ve never seen a frame of.
Always makes me do a double take since Hazel Court is just round the corner and where my local recycling centre is. They’ve got a huge rotating crusher thingy which is kinda fun
“this may just be untenable.” I think you mean... it may just be un-Tenet-able!
