so good in “theatre of blood” with vincent price!

There’s no hurry you see.  We have all the time in the world.

My first Diana Rigg exposure was “The Great Muppet Caper.”

82 is a good long life but this still is another check mark in the “fuck 2020" tally.

[Show opens. Glassy-eyed employee after glassy-eyed employ step out on stage to say the following...]

There are no winners in this battle

Floored by this news.

We all lie in the bed we make, but sometimes that bed is a road. And so instead we end up walking where we sleep. But if we don’t like where we are going, its time to have a different dream. For Ellen, its time for her to wake up, into a new dream, where she can lie down, and walk her own path.

I love Hugh Grant an enormous amount and think he’s a hugely underrated actor who is slowly getting the respect he’s due with things like A Very British Scandal and Paddington 2 (and yes, I am serious about that last one), but I cannot imagine him as Hannibal in a million years and whoever put his name forward must

Because journalism is its own discipline that requires years of practice and study to get good at. People who can master multiple disciplines are rare, and by the time you’ve mastered one you may well be too old (for all practical purposes) to start a new one.

Heartbreaking!

Longtime Ian Holm fan here.

If anyone hasn’t seen The Sweet Hereafter yet, just go do it. Ian Holm & Sarah Polley both absolutely crush their roles and the movie is just haunting and beautiful and depressing.

“I know it was you, Mulch. You broke my heart. You broke my heart.”

AV Club, July 10th: “Now that the moon has exploded, killing 60% of life on earth, will the Tenet release date be delayed?”

I thought this was regionals.

I once spent an evening in a dingy hotel room in Madagascar watching episodes of Criminal Minds dubbed into French while I rode out a wave of food poisoning that left me puking my guts out every 10 minutes. Now I can’t flip past re-runs of the show without feeling a little queasy.

I’ll use his mention to once again, probably for the 100th time, ask the AV Club: “WHEN, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DOES GREG BERLANTI SLEEP?!”

Pretty much, yeah.

“Do not be beguiled by other versions,”
