Gm’s are designed to slowly use fuel for the first 3/4 of a tank, then the last 1/4 of a tank goes by really fast. Now Ford’s are the opposite, fast to hit 1/4 tank, and slow to use up the last 1/4 of the tank. It’s due to the difference in the fuel pump sending unit resistance readings..

Hum, that’s why aftermarket pumps suck! LOL. Do not install an airtex pump/fuel pump module in a GM. They only last 6 mo to a year typically. Even with a clean tank, fresh fuel, and new elect terminals. I routinly install and only recommend AD Delco/Delphi fuel pumps, fuel pump module and strainers... Along with

That’s BS, install different brakes, over heats and limp mode. Remove brakes, and still goes into limp mode. It didn’t trigger something to make it go into limp home mode easier. Possibly when it overheated the first time, there is some damage, say warped heads, thermostat, dtc’s set, thus the reason it’s setting
