The fact that I’m stuck in the greys with these goombas after having been on io9 for more than a decade is a main reason I’ve pulled away from this site. I got swept back into grey status when io9 got shuffled under Gizmodo and now interaction is just shouting into the wind.

Thank you! It’s nice to be seen. I think Gizmodo’s poor treatment of its constituency is just one reason among many that the site’s traffic and engagement are in freefall. I was an approved commenter for a long time, but when io9 got absorbed by Gizmodo my status went away. It sucks and so I barely come here any more.

I am curious as to why you'd characterize a season with eight good episodes and one decent episode as "uneven", but since I got greyed in the Gizmodo shift after being a starred commenter for years, no one will ever see this message.
