Yep. I grew up around addiction. People can be the height of generosity and care, and then turn around and sell your toys. It’s crippling if you’re their kid.

This makes me sad, because I’d heard so many stories of him being generous and kind in the past before this steep slide- like how he’d show up without fanfare to a kids’ hospital in full costume, or to schools to entertain kids, or giving random gifts to fans.
