Aha! That makes heaps of sense then. Thanks for the info

I haven’t been to a Kmart in the US in probably two decades (and imagine they sell a wider range of stuff) but in australia they managed to revitalize themselves by going full-Scandi in all of their furniture and home wares and selling stuff that actually looks good. They are super popular here now it’s crazy.

The Jezebel comment section has never been kind to vegans.

I went to the Met once with the intention of paying nothing for entry and the woman behind the counter treated me like I was the biggest nuisance she’d come across that day.

Maybe you just have to think a little harder to derive meaning. She’s not presenting it to you on a silver platter but the words are far from nonsensical...

How are Neko’s lyrics nonsensical? I think you take things too literally...

I saw around 60 films at my city’s last big film fest and this one had me ugly crying more than any other film I saw.

I was looking for him in the casino and still couldn’t spot him! Guess I’ll have to watch again haha

I just saw the movie and your comment is killing my vibe 🙄

I know it’s not your point but there’s a diff between labeling your diet and labeling your ideology - I eat a vegan diet but I am also vegan because I try my best to avoid animal products for ethical reasons.

You’re very brave to wade into these shark-infested waters! This site and its commentariat have a history of being vicious toward anyone who mentions the word vegan for any reason or being kind to animals that aren’t domesticated (they were defending wearing fur a few months ago, for example).

Lucky you. The polar bear literally sent me into a wild choke-sob within 3 seconds.

Hopefully it won’t turn out to be the low-rent Project Runway rip off that Skin Wars is!

...with a night Judge Judy?

It’s *really* weird - I’ve lived here almost 15 years and I’m still not used to it. I’m in Melbourne and people go to the beach here too. In fact, my friend’s parents’ house where we often spend Christmas is right on the beach haha. I really need to find a hat before then!!

Today is now Friday, but yesterday (Thursday), I trudged around looking for a cool mat for my cat because it’s been 90'F or over for the last week here. I also tried to find a new sun hat because mine disappeared but they were all ugly. The heat has also meant that my planned pumpkin pie event is postponed because I’m

Australia still has a huge population of recent migrants, many of whom are quite religious. For example, one electorate close to Sydney voted overwhelmingly “no” due to to large population of religious voters.

Girls and Boys for the mfing choc tops! I don’t have a massive sweet tooth but am a sucker for a hard chocolate shell. It sounds like we’re neighbours - I can also walk to S&D but am closer to Red Sparrow, which is another bank account drainer/weight gainer!

Pickles are my lifeblood. Also love ferments. And since I found out that smith & deli stocks my favourite snack (peanut butter-filled pretzels) my life is basically complete. #saltlyfe

Yes, it is! It took me a number of years of living in Australia to appreciate vegemite, and I’m a salt-lover (and vegan too - hi!!). My fur child is such an Aussie though, he loves vegemite - he’ll lick it off your toast if you let him !
