Yes! We had so many Iranian movies show at our last international film fest (we also have an Iranian film fest!) and managed to catch a number of wonderful Iranian films - Under the Shadow was a particular favourite. I’d love to visit Iran one day but might need to wait four years or at least until my non-US passport…

Any company with a privacy agreement should be protecting that privacy as promised. Uber is no different than a bank’s phone app in this regard.

Let’s just say that I have seen a lot of bad happen because of privacy breaches in the industry I work in...

This guy is definitely a dick but if there was truly a glitch in the app, he certainly should sue for the privacy breach. Companies like Uber have a responsibility of keeping client info private - otherwise people such as domestic violence victims could have a lot worse happen to them than divorce.

Finally! I’m sick of going high - about time some Dems pull some ridiculous and dirty moves! I might not even care so much but that video of Melania explaining to Joy Behar that Obama’s birth certificate isn’t valid tipped me over the edge.

I wonder if the filmmaker being Australian has anything to do with it. She wasn’t around in the US when the whole JBR case obsession first happened, so maybe doesn’t realize the extent to which the whole thing was played out. 

I recently saw a Make America Great Again hat on a car dashboard in inner-city Melbs. Surely some hipster trying to show off that they’ve been to America, but I let out a big grumble. Idiots. It’s not funny.

I saw this film in August. It definitely had its moments (that opening scene!) but it didn’t realize its full potential. One of the mermaids is also in a new film playing a lesbian Czech, murderer in the 60s. That film (called I, Olga Hepnarova) is very very good.

Those are fucking hideous. That being said, if they could put *my* cats face on the glasses intead of some randoms, I might consider it...

I use elf liquid eyeliner because it is super cheap, vegan, and the brush is so good that I can do my cat eyes in less than 2 minutes. The only downside is that the brush becomes unuseable (loses its stiffness I guess) before the liquid runs out.

Yeah. I grew up in, and love, the snow. Christmas on the beach in the heat is weird and wrong. Wronger still are the “frosty windows” decorations that people put up !
