Nice to see that happening, but Valve failed in the communication department.

This game caters to a niche that I don't belong to! How dare they! Shitty game out of ten!
Dude, you're doing it wrong.
You need to STOP buying their games. Once their games stop selling, they'll lose money. And when that happens, guess what game that magically prints money will suddenly show up?
No HD remake here. We're just getting the PC version to buy again on PS4. In spring 2015. For some reason. Thanks, Square Enix.
Meh, SE already said they wouldn't make a VII HD remake until they are just about broke(creatively) and need to play this trump card. The internets reaction to this further confirms what they already know, if they dangle the carrot people will jump and jump high. Honestly I hope it(VII HD remaster) never comes, at…
I'm not sure if you have brain problems, but you seem to be missing the entire point. FF7 has been available on literally every gaming system Sony has put out since the PS1. People don't want the same game with the game content. They've gotten that more than 6 times already. This could have been a good announcement if…
If you keep buying this schlock, they'll keep making it INSTEAD of a remake. Easy money, don'tcha know?
Seriously, is there a company that actively works to piss off its fans as much as Square Enix? What an awful thing to do.
my reaction.
Seriously how many more times do I need to keep buying all these re-releases in hopes of supporting it enough that they'll finally do an hd-remake or something.
I watched the video. Nekojin, turns out you are right. It's slightly amusing, but when the video is considered with the general Kotaku agenda and readership, it's just a few minutes of fallacious arguments so people who already agreed with each other can high five for being liberal future thinking culture saviors.
Because I don't need to watch it when it's made clear from the descriptor that anyone who doesn't think it's a game is a narrow minded knuckle dragger who is afraid of things they don't understand.
Gone Home doesn't make me uncomfortable so much as bore me. it would work better as a short story. I don't know if the impact is not there because I have been gay and 'out' for 10+ years or what.
Well, with Gone Home it is, to a strong degree, hype backlash. Gone Home was pushed as one of the biggest games of the year, when even within its own genre, it's questionable if it deserves any more than being called "decent", mostly because given how important the story is, it's really not THAT good. It's better than…
To be honest if Gone Home didn't have homosexuality in it the poor game would have never been noticed. It doesn't have strong gameplay, writing, or anything else that makes it standout amongst other PC shovelware. I will give the makers props for managing to sell it at 20 bucks though.
God your posts are fucking atrocious. Everyone who doesn't like Gone Home is either some "dudebro" type player or hates women/gays, then?
I honestly have a hard time believing anyone finds Gone Home "uncomfortable". Disappointing, yes, but I have yet to hear anyone say they were made "uncomfortable". Subject matter aside, Gone Home isn't a game, nothing could make it a game, it's just genuine crap passed off as something that can make money.
Why are fans of Gone Home so fast to judge and attack those who don't like it? Just relax and let's have a civil conversation about the game and its pros and cons. Boopla stated his/her opinion. Nowhere in the post is it written that the game needed more "guns or vehicular combat or dub step". It troubles me that…
Gone Home doesn't make me uncomfortable it bores me. It's a half asse'd take on a very interesting topic that deserves a far better game than what Gone Home is.
I don't like Gone Home, don't think it's that well written and it's not really a game. Doesn't make me uncomfortable at all, it's just a bad "game"
Uncomfortable because it's an overrated game who's only redeeming factor is that she's gay?
