Why people try to bullshit the public anymore? Didn't Goodell think there are ways to track and verify when the video was sent, or even requested by the NFL?

Shit, when part of the video showing Rice dragging his unconscious fiancee outside of the elevator first popped up months ago, why did the NFL not request footage

This goes well beyond Goodell. And his firing would at this point likely only be a smokescreen to deflect blame and use him as the scapegoat.

Nah, you know how this is really going to end: To prove that the NFL totally loves women, Goodell is going to fire only the woman whose voice appeared in the voicemail, claiming that she never shared the video with anyone else.

Ok, let's start taking odds on the results of this:

Done.

Goodell: As I've maintained all along, no one from the National Forensics League saw this video until this week.

I'm no expert, but if I'm a betting man my money's on the NFL using the "seriously, who the fuck has a VCR anymore?" defense.

To me it seems like the opposite regarding Lena at the Emmys, and any red carpet really.

I can accept that. I vacillate between liking/supporting Dunham and really wanting to punch her square in the nose. Currently? Punching her is winning. Her shtick is really very shticky now...very affected.

Really? I'm of the complete opposite opinion. I guess anyone and everyone affiliated with Lena Dunham, in any way, grates my nerves.

I really dislike the "Women's Secret Battles" banner. There is something unnecessarily melodramatic about it for one, and two, there is a rather disturbing tendency to view eating disorders as strictly a "female" problem. I saw one of my male friends nearly die from bulimia, and no one believed he had it when he

But there also wasn't any evidence he was heterosexual - it's not like they had him talk about an ex-girlfriend and then she pulled a bait-and-switch. The reason it seems surprising is because in general our society assumes heterosexuality - unless you 'prove' you're gay everyone is going to think you're straight.

Significant pet peeve: The revelation of Dumbledore's sexuality is not a retcon. A retcon, or retroactive continuity, means established facts in the cannon are altered by later work in order to put the later work inline with continuity. There is nothing in the original Harry Potter books that establishes Dumbledore to

It's almost as if gay people can be gay without it being a huge defining trait in their personality and/or storyline.

Please, buy our console. Seriously though, we really need to move units and would really be grateful if you buy our console. We'll even give you a game for free, just buy it.

Now playing

No Final Fantasy VI? Still the best credits and game ending that I've ever played.

Which, I think, kind of drives home the point that it's a male problem. I've seen some of the stuff gay guys get, but I've turned down lesbians and had no stronger response than "that's cool, let me know if you change your mind."

"I trade futures contracts on my couch... I made 32K in June..."

What guys like the guy who told you we need to ignore guys like this fail to understand (possibly deliberately) is that not only does ignoring not work, but IRL women never know when attempts to dismiss and ignore will subsequently still get this kind of unhinged response AND bonus physical violence thrown in. We
