Agreed. The thing that fanboys who love the white-hatted hope-filled Superman always skip over is the growth. The interim section where he learns the why and how of that hope and how to BE that beacon. Snyder is giving us a take on that growth...and none of the fanboys like it.

Ah, but it’s specifically BATMAN VS Superman for a reason (in that order)....it’s Bats going after Supes, not the other way round. And WW comes in as a kind of mediator it seems.

Spot on as usual Paul. The fanboy reaction is SO loud (I think Jman largely leads the charge here at io9) that it kind of drowns out the fact that a large portion of the average movie-going populace is gonna see this movie. I’ve got my tix for opening night already.
