Bruce Timm has made some bad stuff but the DCAU was hugely influential to a large portion of DC’s current fanbase. Plus Timm isn’t the head writer for the new Batman series, he hired Ed Brubaker for that job. Zaslav’s poor treatment of animation is going to hurt them very badly in the long term.

Bruce Timm just can’t get a break. If the Nu52 garbage over the last 10 years wasn’t bad enough, he finally gets another animated series and now faces cancellation before even airing.

we need a remake of DAY OF THE ANIMALS.

Sepinwall made what I thought was a very interesting point: "Sometimes, when spinoffs bring back characters from the parent series, it’s to remind you of why you liked them in the first place. Both of Walt’s appearances here have instead played up his most insufferable qualities, giving you the worst version of Walter

Oof

Right? How bad must something be for even WB to be like “No, this will do irreversible damage to our reputation and brand.”

sources referred to the movie as “irredeemable” after test screenings.

Jon Voight’s an idiot.” Haha, preach!

This is really just confirming what a bunch of people have already figured out. Marvel relies too much on CGI work that is done by overworked and underpaid artists and hasn’t been properly integrated into the rest of the movie. It shouldn’t be the understaffed VFX team’s responsibility to restructure the third act at

The actor had a nice singing voice and I love how Gilligan and Gould have givenl these actors and their characters a curtain call and allowed us fans to see these characters from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul one last time. It’s very classy. It’s like when an MLB team has clinched a playoff spot in the playoffs

That final smile. Jesus Christ.

In the movie, the crime wave was specifically caused by a mega corporation wanting to privatize and militarize law enforcement, win military contracts, and sell real estate.

The anti-right-wing satire in RoboCop the film holds up more than ever. No RoboCop game has ever been anything but a mindless action game devoid of any humanity that takes the movie at face value and I have zero confidence this will be any different.

I’m just going to come out and say it:

I really don’t understand this marketing campaign for The Flash.

Finally got around to watching The Batman and just couldn’t get as invested. It’s a cool story with smaller scale, which is fine, but you spend so little time with Bruce Wayne that he doesn’t feel like much of a character. Pattinson was good, but again mostly underutilized (which is a shame because he continues to get

The Dark Knight Rises is better than The Batman.

I’m always a little puzzled by people who are unhappy that they can’t tell what this phase is “leading up” to. The fact that several of the movies lately are closing off more branches than they’re opening feels more like a relief than a burden, to me at least.
