I mean, I know you got paid to write this...but the Drew Barrymore version of Cinderella pretty much summed this all up. I mean, she fought a man with a sword, a man who was going to rape her. So...yeah. Gen X did this already guys.

Wtf? Cinderella was never poor- she was an abuse victim who was forced to dress the way she did by her stepmother. Her family was always either wealthy or middle class.

She’s owed what she’s owed. What does Disney need with that money?

A rich asshole clock is still right twice a day.
Scarjo is owed money along with everyone else who was depending on those box office sales.
She’s just the loudest voice, but this doesn’t start or end with her.

Theoretically, she may be filing suit so she can use her influence to fight for equal pay for female actors. (I’m just speculating, I may be wrong about whether this is really related to that, or whether that’s a factor in her decision.)

I cannot get over just the sheer audacity of the Disney response. Not just that this multi-billion dollar company is invoking the pandemic tragedy as justification to seemingly breach their contract with Johansson, but then they claim that somehow Disney+ has enhanced her capability of earning additional

Yeah I definitely feel like they had it ready to go.

This man just survived making Nobody, I refuse to believe that Better Call Saul is what gets the better of him. Hopefully just heat and dehydration, that man is a tireless worker.

This weirdly reads like a mini-obituary and I don't like it.

I hope this is just exhaustion and not something more serious.

What (IMO, YMMV) made Ghostbusters so great was that it was shot like a horror movie, not a comedy. The trailer hearkens back to that vibe, which is, I think, a good sign. Despite the dearth of jokes, I have no doubt that what we’re going to see will be a comedy.

I asked “Is this really what people want? For franchise films to be “unique” by appropriating other genres with no finnese or wit?”

No problem with someone liking a film that I don’t. To pretend that this was anything other than a branding exercise (“LOOK HOW DARK STAR WARS IS”) is just delusional. It’s a bad soldiers-on-a-mission film by any fair standard: clumsy plotting, poor characterisations, risible dialogue. Yet people claim it is fresh and

With this post, I am reminded of James Gunn’s recent comments about superhero films needing to graft on other genres to stay relevant reminded me of this film, among others.

That’s corporate-speak for “We are VERY UPSET that our corporate lobbyists were unable to make this go away by threatening to withhold corporate PAC money”

It is this type of irresponsible behavior from unaccountable State bureaucrats that are driving many of the State’s best businesses out of California”

Karina Longworth’s podcast on Hollywood is my favorite thing to listen to.  Her ten-parter on Polly Platt is incredible

I know a lot of people are disagreeing with you due to not like Pierce’s personality or traits, but I do agree he was integral to the show because the show needed a foil for the group. And Chang was so much worse of an antagonist whenever they leaned on him for that role.

I kind of hope the movie ends with Indy dying and Phoebe Waller-Bridge taking over the Indiana Jones title, leading into a show on Disney+, just for how much it will piss off the worst people in the world.

Post-Crisis, Jonathan and Jordan are 15 years old. Clark was clearly active as Superman for a while before marrying Lois and having children. Oliver has still only been the Arrow for about eight years. Therefore, Superman is definitely the first superhero in the post-Crisis timeline, having been active for probably
