Then don't go to graduation. She's feeding her kid, she's not making a statement. Don't be an asshole.

Wow, who peed in your cheerios today?

Thats a weird question to ask. It's none of your dad's business. He should phrase it "will you be the only person on the lease?"

And I see assholes texting constantly when I'm on my bike. My blowing a red light or a stop sign is not going to get someone killed when I'm on a bike, because I always have to, you know, stare at what's going on in front of me. A car blowing a red light can, will, and has killed many people.

"No shit."

Forcing people to work on NATIONAL FUCKING HOLIDAYS when the alternative is "GET FIRED" is bogus. Do you pay your employees time and a half? Retail employees get NOTHING. Stop calling people who want to spend one or two days a year with their families "special snowflakes" because your employer is fucking you too.

Right, because lodging is the same as buying useless garbage made in China. YOU WIN! Oh wait, except you don't. Housing humans is a lot different than selling cheap crap to them.

It's retail. It is a non-essential job. If you really need to fight for the idea that people should be forced to work retail because, I don't know, 911 operators have to go to work too, then you are reaching WAY too hard.

You mean like the media who is reporting the exact story you clicked and commented on? Yeah, okay.

hahaha, yeah, severely punished. do you live in america?

EXCEPT SOMETIMES CABS DONT COME! how do people not understand that uber is fulfilling a need for a TON of people. CABS DO NOT COME to my neighborhood. Uber does.

I mean, they're not a charity. Their goal is to make money.

No, your drivers should not have to account for your drunken irresponsibility.

This still doesn't make the charge Uber's fault. She pressed accept. Learn how the app works before you blame the company for your own poor planning. I don't work for Uber, but I do use it regularly and in Chicago, it's great.

Public transit can only do so much. Even if you have to walk two blocks to the bus or train, then 2 blocks from that stop to your apartment, that is still 4 blocks of walking, typically when it is dark and lonely outside.

This is not Uber's fault, it is yours for not planning your travel better. Call a cab in advance, or get a designated driver.

Regular cabs do not come to my home, and a lot of the time I'd prefer to stay inside wherever I am at versus go and stand, alone, on a dark street corner, particularly if where I am at is a) in a residential area or b) a place not well-covered by traditional cabs.

Yes, they tell you the amount more (2x-9x etc) and you have to physically press "yes, I accept" to get the ride.

Yes, you know the base rate + mileage + minute charge. If you're not an idiot, you can do a little basic math to figure out roughly how much your trip will cost you based on traffic and distance. You also have to accept the surge pricing, so my sympathy is pretty nil for this girl.

Yes, because in a job interview, if you get the job, you earn that money back. Here, the goal is sex, thus objectifying the woman, turning her into a commodity (winning the job/scoring sex) versus, you know, an actual human.
