My center uses a dispatch/call-taking software stack that was developed in-house. We have 3 full-time programmers that can update and make changes to the system on-the-fly. It links to off-the-shelf software provided from our radios (Motorola), phone systems (Positron), and GPS tracking systems (BCS MARVLIS) and

911 Dispatcher here. The low pay for dispatchers across most of the country blows my mind, because it is easily one of the most difficult (and important) jobs out there. Our success rate for trainees to make it through their first year of training is hovering at about 25%. Luckily for me, my center is very well paid

I think it depends on who owns the dog. Dogs in “brown” neighborhoods are more threatening than dogs in nice neighborhoods.

You don’t unless you have definitive proof. The conclusion of these observations should be = “using the developed criteria with currently available tools, no signs of life in other galaxies have been found.” Nothing more, nothing less.

I don’t think that is it... the tide has turned and most fans think rostering goons with zero hockey skills is stupid. They are ironic votes to send a message to the NHL.

Running on a treadmill at an incline and running up a mountain at the same incline do not expend the same amounts of energy. All results of this test are invalid.

Where do you think the money went that bought the ticket in the first place? If you and everyone else stopped buying on the secondary market... the ticket brokers would stop purchasing from Snyder and the prices would drop. So, yes you are giving your money to Snyder.

I didn’t listen to the interview... but what he said was true. If you are selling something on craigslist and someone offers you $300 and another offers you $400, who are you going to sell it to.

There is. We went that route with Iraq and it created this situation.

To be fair, their Nexus phones have been pretty damn successful, even if not built directly by them. Also, many of the most popular chromebooks sold by OEMs have been designed in collaboration with Google.

In early days Tesla was EXTREMELY overeager to completely replace the drivetrain. I chalk this up to Tesla selling cars in a “beta” state. I read numerous reports of people saying things like, “I complained about a minor humming sound at freeway speed and Tesla sent a truck out with a loaner vehicle and then

What an absolute waste of time. That video was almost as long as it should take to cook a great steak on a grill. Assuming a room temp steak 1” to 1-1/4” in thickness. Heat the grill to as hot as you can possibly get it, then 3.5 to 4 minutes per side.... and DONE... perfect medium-rare every time.

I’ve seen it many times on Highway 5 in CA aka the long boring stretch of highway between SF and LA. In fact I was was driving 90+ and had a girl in a small sedan blow past me like I was standing still while driving with her left foot out the window resting on her driver’s side mirror.

Because Hangouts is a bloated app that is trying to do too much. If you don’t need/want the gChat or internet calling features, Messenger is a clean and simple alternative.

Seems like a pain in the ass to open and close, and the design of the key looks like it would be easily damaged/broken.

Most infotainment systems are garbage. Period. Navigation is THE WORST offender. Now that Apple Carplay and Android Auto exist, there is no reason to ever use your slow and outdated OEM Nav unit. I will never buy a car that doesn’t support both.

What makes you think that a drone needs to be autonomous or have GPS to meet the definition of “drone”?

How so? They have consistently shown that death by any means = Zombie, but you can live out your life normally for as long as it takes to die a natural death.

Cap is on the side of Freedom & Liberty, not ironic at all.

That was hulkbuster suit, and Hulk destroyed it several times over, which required having replacement parts at the ready and installed as the fight went on. Not that farfetched that two supersoldiers could overwhelm ironman in his standard suit without an entire army of tech at the ready to contain them.
