Paul Ryan is such a spineless weasel. I can’t believe that people like him and Mitch McConnell are supposed to be keeping Donald in check.

I just thought of something right now, and forgive me if I get a little corny. But reading how people are “oops, didn’t see that you were from Syria, go on ahead”, seeing that picture above of everyone waving the flag, holding the signs, letting others know that they ARE welcome....watching the protests today.....I am

No, that is the opposite of what you should be doing. Look, we are in this mess because both sides have been digging their heels in the dirt and not budging. We need the right side to wake up and realize the mistake they have made and come over to our side. The only way we can make the Republican party listen is to

The brains behind the war. Do not underestimate the power that has been bestowed to this monstrosity.

Here’s a bright clue; maybe stop bringing her on your TV shows, media. The more you give her a mouthpiece, the more shit will spew out, just like with Kellyanne Conway. And whatever happened to Katrina Pierson? I guess there could only be one asshole woman as the public face of Trump at a time.

Now playing

Yes, spell it out. I’ve noticed Giz is quick to demonize the right. Trump is an ass hole who is going to be bad for millions of people. But that doesn’t change the fact that good people could have good reasons to vote for him as well. And their generosity just goes to show that they are good people.

Parks and Recreation. He’d learn a lot more about government that way. And the West Wing.

Maybe someone can convince him to watch National Geographic? Or Oxygen? Or could we find a way to get Blackish and Modern Family on his screen?

I submit that it’s a bad idea to look down on people because you think they did something you dislike and your only evidence is their race, gender, and home state.

“Oh, you’re one of the good ones. Here’s some money.”

This sort of stuff is why I hope at some point we can all find something (that Trump does) to unite around. We all turn into caricatures online, spouting shit about being “triggered” or “nazis” or whatever, when at the end of the day, most people just want to get along with their common man.

This is about achieving goals. It’s counterproductive to say to white women: “You are bad, I don’t want you, you aren’t welcome”. It is productive to say to white women, “thanks for coming, it’s a good start, and here’s how you can help these marginalized people moving forward”.

Thanks a lot of this post. This is the problem I’m having. White women are not a monolith. White folks rightfully get called out when we treat other minority groups as monoliths, or expect an individual POC to speak on behalf of his or her whole race, so it seems unfair to get the finger pointed at me as a white woman

Well, maybe, but also quite possibly not.

I think it’s interesting to watch a metaphorical infant taking its first steps, and then trash said infant for not being able to run a 40-yard-dash in record time. That, to me, is what this article does.

My protest is better than your protest

It’s also interesting because that seemed to be one of Kara’s gripes with the march(es), that it wasn’t about enough of the issues that various groups are facing.

I work for an advocacy organization. We all went to the march, with our friends and our families.

“I also know several people who felt excluded ... and I think it’s because it was about so many things at once.”

My $0.02, FWIW.
