I can’t believe you just defended the Confederate statues.

First I’ve heard that opinion. I was under the impression that we all enjoyed the new commenting system. You may never see or respond to this. Who knows. That is (somehow) the beauty of it.

It might take a while, but I think you guys are going to learn to love Kinja. I’m referring to myself though, not the commenting system.

This is a solid explanation.

Is there any way an option can be added to sort comments with the newest comments appearing at the top? Also, I won’t stop being gray!

This whole Kinja thing is going to give my career a big boost, for sure

A statue based curriculum is the best way to teach history.

I’m spending so little time at the AVClub that I’m actually accomplishing work. I’m afraid.

They’re definitely worse than they were under Disqus, but I remember the days when comments didn’t have fancy features like nesting and people didn’t seem to get lost. Granted, this is a step back but it hardly seems like the disaster that folks are making it out to be.

Funnier to imagine you just really like clowns and are mad at Katie for writing the article.

Jokers, yes. Smokers, no. Midnight tokers are okay, though.

Either Kinja or AVC must’ve broken my head, because my first thought was “Oh, the Juggalo march.”

You know...I really don’t like how it frames these comments as replies to the author. I wasn’t talking to Katie. I was talking to the clown guy. Clown.

Yes, Mr. Sherman, everything stinks.

...I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic.

Here’s something fresh for you: [FARTS]

There’s a part of me that believes if, in the middle of the debate, she did turn around and say “I know what you’re doing and it’s not working, so just back up” she might have won.

I still think she should have called it this:

When I was watching this debate live, I wanted her to turn around and just point to the edge of the stage and say:

The trouble with the Kinja move is that now, more than half of the people who read this comment won’t know who you are and that you’re being sarcastic.
