He’s been kicking around the show since last season. He’s not in every episode though and usually not for long periods of time when he is, so it’s probably not worth watching just for him.

I actually agree with you. The Dark Knight trilogy was grim and dark and still great (mostly). As much as I have loved Marvel and what they’ve been doing, I like the idea of DC bringing a different tone to superhero movies, to make both feel more distinct.

I’m hoping, HOPING that the only reason he’s directing Justice League is because it started filming the week after BvS debuted, and it will be his last involvement. Putting Johns in to oversee, making Affleck executive producer, and announcing that JL is no longer a two parter all seem to point that way.

Johns was put in this role specifically as a response to the criticism of BvS, so I’m hopeful you’re wrong about this.

I feel like I remember him doing or saying something to piss off the CW and burn that bridge anyway.
