Imagine you are going to buy a service, you have one person offering to do it for $20,000 and another offering to do it for $35,000. There is virtually no difference in the quality of service. Paying the extra $15,000 is a lot.

You have significantly better odds with Roulette or other traditional casino games.

I’m very happy that I have not seen much about this person today. There is no need giving media attention to a terrorist who is bad at terrorism.

Unless you're a Met, there is no reason to wear a Mets shirt to work.

The “iPhone is overrated” is the tech equivalent to the “Joe Flacco isn’t elite” take. It’s pointless and outdated.

It's just like the lottery, it's another poor person tax. Make it legal, we give them too long of a leash already!

Office pools are legal in most states. You can participate in that and “gamble.” The issue is that a lot of wealthy casino owners want to be able to take sucker bets on sports.

My life would be so much more fulfilling if I legally can gamble on my football squad in the next tourney.

Have unionized industries been exceptions to the aforementioned trends? If not, perhaps the issue isn’t as simple as unions.

It’s also on Deadspin now. The most recent stories on a sports blog are:

Four games really isn’t a significant sample size, but I agree that strong pitching is virtually a requirement to succeed in the playoffs.

The comparison works IMO. Veteran pitching is generally more reliable and accessible than veteran hitting. Stocking up on young bats and then buying free agent pitching is a safer bet to building teams than vice versa.

Not if they let them use flippers on their feet.

I'd watch horse synchronized swimming.

Equestrian is the NASCAR of the Hamptons.

The Mets seem to spend a lot considering they currently have the most expensive outfield in baseball and the second most expensive lineup in the NL (fifth most if you include AL and exclude DH’s).

This couldn’t be more true. If you need any further proof look at the difference between the Mets and Cubs.

Good pitching is expensive.

Interesting that Republican women are less likely to believe in sexism than the entire sample size of men.
