I love his attitude. Though, when he’s feeling down, I really feel for the guy. You can see him trying to be upbeat but getting caught up in “the big one” again can get pretty old.
First of all, don’t you guys have someone on staff that doesn’t actively hate NASCAR that could maybe cover it with fewer weak-tea “rearrange my sock drawer” comments? There’s snarky and there’s ... whatever that was. I usually don’t go there, but the lack of actual enthusiasm for doing the article was pretty obvious.

Or... you can observe a maintenance schedule like all the industrial / military types do. Seriously, as an ET in the Navy, we did weekly filter cleans as part of our regular maintenance. And we had zero dust bunnies living inside of our HF transmitters.

If you are building a new PC, there are many choices available that have filtration built in. And they’re excellent choices, so I suggest that building a new system around a case that does NOT come with these options built-in is a bad idea from step one.
In the past, no cases came with this kind of option, and I have…

I also recently did a round of Navy beans in the Insta Pot. It was glorious. I did err in that I forgot to soak the country ham that I put in it first, so it came out extremely salty. So there’s another tip, campers: if you’re using country ham in your Navy Bean soup, pre-soak the HAM, but you won’t have to pre-soak…
Okay, did Jay *actually* “remember” this car from the 80s, or was that more like the Royal “we”?
Honestly, with a little more development, they could have been Toyota ten years before Toyota was Toyota with the Prius. *Somebody* is kicking himself, if not being kicked by his coworkers, for declining to pursue this…
Um yeah sure.
An important tip that was missing from this: if you have an Instant Pot, no pre-soak is required. The beans turn out perfectly. It was a religious experience the first time I did Pintos this way.
If this is real, it’s damned near perfect. I’m a big fan of the old bobtail Broncos, and this looks like a legit callback to that form factor. Meesa likes! And I think my old man, an even bigger Bronco fan, would have liked it had he lived to see it.
Back before some fool invented “SUV” we called them “4x4s” and I’m good with that.
This. I love how it gives the egg crispy edges. Using bacon grease gives it extra flavor but it also is more prone to burning. So it’s a matter of practice until you get the technique down. Totes worth it though.
I have questions, such as: is it potato starch that is modified, or starch from modified potatoes?
As my buddy said, his ex must have some serious voodoo skillz.
Newman’s beef is that cars shoudn’t be flying through the air like that. Full stop. I don’t know if there’s engineering to make that happen, but he’s right - if they can stop that from happening then they should, “entertainment” be damned.
Those ol’ boys always find a way to up the entertainment. They’ll think of…
I had an 84 Mustang 4-banger that had that double wing as well, along with several other “SVO only” performance improvements (suspension, etc). I never got a good answer as to what that was all about, but hey - got a great price and it was fun as hell to drive, albeit not as spicy as an actual SVO.
You’re not wrong on the Solara. A lot better looking than later generations.
I had that model for a few years; lost it when I was unemployed (was making payments on it until then). Mine was the 4-banger with the automatic, and this was a good six or so years ago so mine was a little newer as well.
Back in the day, someone came out with a conversion kit for the Corvair called the “Corv-eight”. It consisted of the bits necessary to put a V8 engine amidships and a fairing to cover it as well. I lusted for one of those right up until I acquired a car that didn’t suck, and then I decided that janky conversions were…
