I don’t know how this ended up as a reply to you. It was meant to be a reply to someone down thread who was taking about what’s done in Europe. Sorry!

I live in Scotland and in addition to putting on closed captioning for any screening if asked they also have special screenings for people on the autistic spectrum, people with dementia, and parents with young babies. It really isn’t that hard to be a decent person.

I’m qualifying as a children’s nurse in the UK this year and I’m from the states originally. I am insanely proud of being part of the NHS. People here have no idea what it’s like in the US and are always shocked when I tell them that we charge for emergency services and children’s healthcare.
