Idk, it couldn’t possibly be as bad as forcing you to kill your ally/potential love interest out of nowhere with no explanation, half assing an explanation of why you did it, and then continuing the series without wrapping up most of the older plot points that made the game and series interesting.

Archetypes exist for a reason. They are easy to understand, universal and general. And I believe that’s what Nintendo is after.
