My kids can’t even play on the Switch. It’s hooked up to my computer monitor and they aren’t allowed on my computer. They get the Retropie, XBox 360 and the Wii. My kids are also not allowed to play on my phone, they have their Kindle Fire tablets for that.

Don’t try to return those kids man. They’ll just tell you it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

Whoa whoa whoa. I can bring mine back?!

This is the exact reason my kids are not even allowed to touch the physical disc of Breath of the Wild until I have finished the game. Some say this technique is to heavy handed, even draconian, and to them I say “I’m gonna need you to take your opinion and shove it way up your butt. Way up there. Nope, a little

Reason #286 that I’ll never have children.

The power of internet hatred!

Having the amount of perseverance necessary to get through a task this long and tedious without giving up is rare. And impressive.

I thought the whole point of the game was to ‘RARE-VIVE’ the ideals of the platformers of yester-year? As in, really hard platforming with a shitload of collectibles. Seems they done exactly what they set out to do, so saying they made bad decisions is a bit a bit harsh. And wrong.

Based on all the footage I’ve seen, the puzzles seem based on environmental clues and available abilities. Just like old Banjo games, you had to piece certain things together yourself. I honestly fail to see an issue with that.

Sounds like the kickstarter game that was pitched on being a 90s-style platformer has turned out to be a 90s-style platformer. I’m absolutely blown away.

Not Mario Party.

except that is exactly what they are...

Right. The complaints here seem to stem from the fact that they really just don’t like that type of game and probably would not enjoy the originals either (or at least enjoy them on a replay if they did enjoy it the first time).

Given chameleons are lizards, I’m not sure the difference is as big as you think it is.

... I’m not sure we are remembering Banjo-Kazooie the same way...
A lot of what you describe sounds familiar to me, and makes sense based on what I remember... I recall backtracking a lot in Banjo Kazooie, and hitting parts of the game that told me I had to go back to proceed forward. Mario 64, too.

I liked that he was a jerk. Between that and Mipha’s relationship with Link we got some character types that Zelda doesn’t usually get. Usually it’s “by the Goddess, thank you for saving me!” and “oh I’m glad everything worked out, who are you again?”.

It’s good to see Sean Chiplock is nothing like that stupid jerk Revali.

Castigating reply. Transparently placed emoticon.

The Vita is no where near the end of its lifecycle. There will always be Japanese and Indie games coming to the system for years to come.

Good because it’s a quality system that they should’ve pushed harder and fixed up a little bit over here. The mistakes they made with the system weren’t even massive ones. They just shot themselves in the foot a lot.
