That actually surprised me. I was never into Zachtronics games because they all seemed to be weird puzzle/programming things that were a little too fiddly for my tastes. This doesn’t seem like their kind of game but maybe that’s why I find it appealing. I might give it a shot if I get bored or see it on sale someday.

Fun fact: there’s no mesh in those holes so if you have a dusty house or kids there’s nothing stopping them from sticking some gum or crayons down in there.

I’m genuinely curious how many people play games in early access and how many that do come back later to play the final version instead of burning out during all the patches and losing interest.

I did it once with Darkest Dungeon and learned my lesson. Never again.

You lost me at “defending it from attack”. I don’t mind that kinda thing usually but just once I’d like to play a post apocalyptic game where you and the survivors are banding together to actually fix things and rebuild society.

Frostpunk was pretty brutal and it liked to try and make you make hard choices but I liked

Korone is a treasure. I don’t watch too many streamers but she’s fun and seeing a streamer be so enthusiastic about making sure their audience has as much fun as they are having is always nice. Even with the language barrier, she tries her best in a way that seems oddly wholesome and despite being part of a content

I took the speak with animals perk in Divinity on my first playthrough. Even when it didn’t lead to quests or extra loot, just being able to talk to cows and dogs and stuff was so fun that I can’t not take it on any character in Divinity 1 &2 even if it’s not an optimal perk for a combat build. It’s too fun. If it’s

I’m not really surprised by this. In D&D, the most popular race has always been human. I’m pretty sure human’s even been more popular than elves...in a fantasy game.

There is a bit to be said about racial perks/stats and min/maxing character creation leading to bias when it comes to making a new character. Some

I’m pretty much the opposite. I find Planescape and BG2's combat to be pretty weak. The story and characters are enough to save them (especially Torment’s) but even later on when I was more powerful and had access to busted magic it just never clicked with me.

Meanwhile I love the combat in Divinity, especially the

Monday seems ambitious to me but godspeed sir. My copy is supposed to be getting here later but I’m gonna take it slow and probably chip away at this an hour or two at a time before bed over the next month or so. I haven’t had the energy to marathon any games lately but I love Vanillaware so hopefully I have a good

I bought Oblivion back in the day on my 360 and learned how buggy and weird Bethesda games are. When Skyrim came out I got in on PC and it’s still buggy (had to use console commands a few times to get my game unstuck) but it’s totally worth it for the mods alone. I could never go back. I still play plenty of console

Well I know what games I’m not going to buy at launch now. :p

I can knock the dust off my steam backlog while I wait for the inevitable used copy/sale/price drop. My wallet probably needs the break anyway.

I still don’t know why they want us to put our consoles vertically instead of laying them flat down like we were doing for years. I’m still paranoid about it because I had friends who said their 360/PS3 scratched up their game discs when they stood it upright like this.

Welp looks like we’re going to see a big return of adblockers and probably even some streamers actively telling their viewers to use adblock. This seems like a good way for Twitch to shoot itself in the foot.

the ghost is still a big jerk

I’ve fallen off the xbox wagon pretty hard. The 360 was good to me but there were not exclusives that made me want to buy an xbone and now that they’re focusing more on gamepass I guess I’ll never have to buy an xbox again.

Sony however is another issue. The playstation has been my jrpg box of choice since the PSX

I think the PS2 era spoiled me. Every time we upgrade now it feels way too soon. I never go in until the first price cut anyway because new gens tend to have issues at launch but now it feels like a year or two after I do they’re pushing new hardware the next year. It’s kind of crazy.

Digital releases are kinda nice for handheld systems or the Switch since your console is essentially taking it’s library with it wherever you go, but I still try to buy a physical copy of most games I really care about. I just like having them on my shelf. There are other advantages but for me it really is as simple

I like the tweaks and updates they’ve been doing. I do sorta wish the difficulty of some of these games was a bit harder but keeping things friendly and mostly casual seems to be the goal so I get it.

With that said, they could make the obstacles in Fall Mt. a bit harder or at least make everyone start in a line so

This. Timed exclusivity is annoying if it’s something you’re super hyped for but it’s not that bad. Wait a year and get it cheaper or buy it on console.

It’s only an issue if it would only release on PC and only on the epic store.

Oh shit, they did Maoyu? I had no idea. That show was pretty good. A bit silly, but it had a neat vibe.
