I loved the chopper levels! The hidden enemies were kinda BS but I thought they were a fun way to cap off the game.

I’d play them over hang glider levels any day.

I remember when I first got into PC gaming with friends it always took us forever to get things working. Can’t see the game? Time to mess around with port forwarding. Still not working? What version are you running? Still nothing? Let’s try Hamachi or some other program. We pirated the first Borderlands and my one

oof, I felt that one

I mean, they killed Iron Man...

I didn’t. I don’t know what is about them, but the visual effects gave me a headache and I had to walk out of the theater.

So how many dead babies do you think this game is going to have in it? Place your bets?

Pretty much my feelings. There’s something really great about game weather that sometimes can pull you into things and give you these beautiful little moments of downtime that feel super immersive but when the mechanics of it impede your progress at an inopportune moment it can become grating.

Overall, I’m glad the

It kinda reminds me of the big motion control push everyone made during the Wii era. The novelty of it drew people in and the tech did get better, but people prefer to stick to their controllers or their mouse&keyboards. It’s just more comfortable/responsive.

I think VR is neat but the headsets quickly get

Well, this is just a theory so I might be reading too much into this, but blue flames is sorta like the idea of hitodama. Which is sorta like ghost fire or a soul leaving the body sorta thing. In some media it’s shown as a sort of gentle thing. Like a peaceful soul leaving the body to rest sorta vibe. It’s a folklore

After reading around a bit it sounds like you can grind in this game but only if you play on Normal difficulty. There are maps you can replay that don’t cost activity points that you can use to grind but if you play on Hard difficulty you can’t use them.
They also keep the classic and casual modes from Fates so you can

This. Grinding has spoiled me a bit and now I can’t enjoy the older games as much as I used to. FE’s always been about making the best of what you have and managing resources but I like having a margin of error to make mistakes and being able to level up and promote all my characters instead of just cherry picking the

FF9 will probably always be my favorite Final Fantasy. It’s got it’s issues, like every Final Fantasy does, but the ending gave me pretty much everything I wanted and everything else in the game (characters, music, themes, world/enemy design) is absolutely charming . It’s an amazing game. I liked some of the later

Freya was a great character. The part where her and Beatrix team up to buy everyone else time to escape was always one of my favorite bits of the game (honestly the whole of the rescue/escape Alexandria part is pretty fantastic). I loved how they used those three (Steiner, Beatrix, and Freya) to play around with

It can be pretty brutal.

There is an option to have the maps self draw the floors/walls as you explore but it doesn’t put in any symbols or markers in so you’ve got to mark doors, points of interests, shortcuts, FOEs, and stuff like that on your own.

I suppose they can keep that self draw thing and maybe let you mark

Yo, I’m in the final dungeon of the newest Etrian game! It’s been quite a ride. Hope she has fun with it.

Side note: I was actually wondering how they’d release another one if they did retire the 3ds since using the touchscreen to draw maps is such a big part of the game.

redside for life

Side note: Gen 7 was the first game where I could actually make trades work online instead of running into a bunch of people wanting level 100 Charmanders or Mews or some other garbage so I thought the online in gen 7 was doing exactly what I wanted it to do. But I can’t speak for the battling because lately my

Pokemon lost me somewhere around DP and BW. Too many remakes of older games? BW 2 instead of a new game set in a new region? I don’t know what it was but I was on my way out until Pokemon Moon brought me back in because of how different it was.

Sun and Moon actually got me back into pokemon after Diamond/Pearl and B/W (and all the remakes) burned me out. If anything I’m excited that I’m actually hyped for a new pokemon game for the first time in years. Most of the revealed characters look fun, the setting is great, girl protag is a cutie (and has some

Now playing

to be fair the tail whip animations have always been lazy
