Hentai is kinda weird like that compared to other porn. There’s plenty of lewd fanart and stuff but actual doujins or animations are a lot harder to get your hands on for a variety of reasons. A lot of it just isn’t licensed outside of Japan so it can be really hard to buy and there aren’t as many groups handling

That’s definitely a big part of it.

I don’t know what it’s like now but Fakku used to have an awful tagging system and seemed very curated as far as what kinds of smut they wanted to have on their site so other more shady doujin sites were more appealing because they just had way more content and it was easier to find

Got em’

I don’t play FFXIV but I love stuff like this. When I play MMOs I run everything solo or in a small group (if my friends are also playing that game) and I hate playing with strangers.

Not really because of trolling, loot worries, or people being jerks but mostly because I just don’t want to be rushed through the game.

That last bit, about expanding our horizons, pretty much nails it. I haven’t had a game do something like this for me yet, but books get me all the time. Maybe because you’re sort of forced into different character perspectives all the time in most books? I’m not sure. Maybe I just haven’t found that kinda game yet.

Totally right, but I think their point remains valid. Unless they’re illustrated books don’t usually show you what a character looks like so usually the first visual medium sorta sets the standard for what people expect a thing to look like.

Though I only listened to some audiobooks so maybe the Witcher books do have

I remember playing as them in one of the older Battlefront games. I got blown up so many times trying to go switch out of ball mode and shoot because the shields couldn’t be used until you were fully transformed.

It was kinda funny. With the shields you felt like a monster but without them you were basically made of

yeah it did get pretty noisy. I had to turn the volume down because it was pretty late and I didn’t want to wake up my neighbors

All that said though, I get it. Representation, accurate representation, is important. When the whole world paints you as some bizarre cartoon or insists on painting everyone like you in a certain light, it’s nice to have something come a long that gets it right.

I don’t mind a bit of Juri types existing out in the

Juri’s my favorite Street Fighter character for a variety of reasons, but I can get where you’re coming from.

I have a lot of issues with stereotypes of masochistic/sadistic characters and the way media represents people into bdsm as either abusive, psychotic, or broken people and Juri, as a sadist, ticks a few of

I don’t really have the patience or time to train up pokemon for competitive battling anymore so completing my pokedex is usually my main goal in each game. But I’ve always felt that finishing the National Dex was far less satisfying than finishing the in game one. It involved either a bnuch of busywork transferring

I felt that way towards the end of the main story when I had already seen a lot of the sword arts but the DLC characters don’t use swords so they play completely different. They basically have three stances that all play differently (especially the farmer who’s super tricky) and their own skill trees to upgrade instead

I’m fully shilling at this point but they apparently added a complete version to the digital store that includes all the DLC and it’s on sale (75% off) until the 24th. That’s an insane deal for such a great game. If you like Vanillaware, Japanese mythology, and/or action games then give it a shot.

I bought my Vita just to play Muramasa Rebirth. It was totally worth it. It’s a gorgeous game (especially on the older Vita models that had the OLED screen) and the DLC character stories are all pretty fantastic. I especially love Okoi and the Demon girl, they’re so fun to play as.

I’d highly recommend it, even if you

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I liked the series better when it was a just a stealth action game. I love rpgs but I really think this new focus on levels and gear sorta ruined the core gameplay of the series. I’m happy they’re trying new things but AC is having a huge identity crisis atm, it doesn’t even feel like

I would love to have Secret Bases back. Proper ones, not the underground ones from D/P.

It’s actually pretty interesting. I’ve never heard of slowing down the animation before. Usually when an anime is edited to meet stuff like this they tend to dim the screen to help mute the bright flashes/colors that happen during action scenes or anything else that gets flagged. So you end up with stuff like this:

This. Some of the limit break type skills were kinda underpowered by the end of the game compared to others but FFX probably has the best turn based combat system of any FF game. I really wish they’d have kept it around longer instead of trying to hybridize out into more action/real time systems. Such a waste.

I knew about Aerith’s death before I ever played FF7. I had the strategy guide too so I knew roughly when it was going to happen. When kid me realized I was so close to “the big moment” he decided to try and power through it before the schoolbus showed up.

I was so absorbed in the game, that I didn’t realize the bus

I don’t agree with that. They played it off as a joke at first, but it totally ended up working for me. The part where he and his mother talk was my favorite part of the movie.
