It's not technically being shut down, they are going to turn it into a co-ed lounge

I like this idea:

This is where I am on this. I’m reminded again of a program my college had called Safe Ride. It was a program only for women. Essentially, a large van driven by a cop hung around campus and would drive women back to their dorm. It was a don’t ask, don’t tell service, which meant even underage drunk women would not be

Awful.

Right there with you. I tend to be pretty critical of conversations where “kink-shaming” is thrown out to preemptively suppress discussion, but the anti-porn and anti-BDSM crowds really went overboard last night.

Whether or not someone is guilty of a crime isn’t about “the odds” or probability. This isn’t random chance. And you have no support at all for the statement that “he vast majority of people who say they were raped are telling the truth”.

“Omg if I ever found out I made someone feel that unsafe I’d set up a restraining order against myself for them, proactively go to the police and offer any assistance they require, and sign up for therapy because clearly something is wrong SOMEWHERE. But then again I never raped anyone.....”

I imagine that could work

Brave why?

Honey, do we have a linen cupboard? *both look at the same time at the door that is never opened*

My bed at my parents house has the same sheets on it that it did when I lived there 10+ years ago.

We’re both men! Every drawer is a junk drawer!

Try the junk drawer in the kitchen ;)

Oh sure we buy them. Lovely Egyptian cotton, 700 thread count...we just then forget where we put them.

Just think of them as “vintage rustic shabby chic.”

It is true that one of the inherent pitfalls of a gay relationship is that we almost always have terribly old sheets.

He offered a make-up test. The email isn’t printed in full. TBH, the whole email is reasonably sympathetic and gives the students options etc. I feel like he was trying to deal with two pressures. Administration may have said, “Hold the class or be fired.” The students definitely said, “We’re terrified.” I wouldn’t be

Um. That is a seriously misleading tweet image crop of an email that has been WIDELY circulated today:

There were several incidents of mass hysteria last night at UM, including the student body president falsely citing the presence of the “KKK” on campus. While Prof. Brigham could certainly have used a slightly softer tone, I don’t believe he was wrong to insist that teaching continue despite the false reports and mass

They are referring more to the police asking that the public report all “hateful/hurtful” speech, most of which would be protected. Terrorist threats are not, and the ACLU knows this.

they are referring to the new hotline set up by the MUPD for people to call in any “incidents of hateful and/or hurtful speech.” which is preposterous.
