Outstanding.

Anybody who tries to claim that 3rd-wave feminists are not a hate-group is simply blind to all of the hate-crimes feminists commit on a regular basis.

You are taking an extreme example from 1971 (which, FYI, was the era of second-wave feminism) and trying to make some bigger argument about feminists as terrorists. Wake me up when feminist “cells” are shooting up places where predominantly men congregate.

you are seriously comparing feminism to a “cell” of terrorists?

“Feminist cells”

If you don’t see an issue with

I read and re-read your comment, and this is what I got out of it.

Except that that only applies if the action someone takes ISN’T reasonable. If she had come in with a mohawk, or even something like... I don’t know, dreads maybe, I could understand the issue (I’d disagree with it in terms of dreads because I’ve seen lots of people make them look very neat and tidy, but...). But she

Retaliation against an employee grievance based on discriminatory dress code policy is okay in your book? It is actually illegal and violates Title VII....you say she was an idiot...her employers are the clear idiots who did not consult a employment attorney before changing the policy.

There’s a difference between “expectations not laid out” and “boss enforcing unrealistic standards that have nothing to do with professionalism.”

In case you were unaware, this is a case of the latter. There is nowhere except in this boss’s manic head where ponytails and cultural head-scarves are “unprofessional.”

so explain to me what was unprofessional about the original outfit?

It would be widely acceptable at 99.9 percent of non-racist workplaces.

So even though the outfit was within dress codes, you’re siding with the managers to change their mind on what the dress code is on a whim? Because that’s what re-reading, and re-reading, and re-reading your comment gets me. That you think the rules changing whenever the manager pleases is good managerial practices.

Since the Mass Effect Trilogy can be bought for 20 bucks, I think it’s fair to count that as one game.

“I mean, sure, many feminists are annoying, and all I hear about them sounds like they are brain-dead”

Well, you’re right. If we’re going to go down this route, the reason why it brings a sexual connotation is because of rampent misogyny and the sexualization of a group of people for the benefit of primarily straight males.

Not trying to get all Debbie Downer over here. But if hearing the word “lesbian” immediately

Because a lot of people view “homosexual” as stigmatizing as it was used as a diagnosis back when homosexuality was considered a disorder.

that was one of my favorite moments of SR3.

Now playing

Thank you for mentioning “What I Got” in SR3. I know it’s a heavily scripted moment but it comes off so very natural and realistic. I believe my reaction when that happened was “OMFG NO WAYYYY!” and then I loudly sang along. :)
