I agree with your points, but I will say that since they claim a 60fps performance patch is coming later, I’d probably be inclined to wait until then to try the game. If it just couldn’t hit 60fps in any mode, so be it, but since there will be one I’d rather experience it at 60 than 30 fps.

While I like the idea in concept, my gut seems to feel differently especially regarding what new legal precedence Nintendo might like to establish as a result.

It was a pretty awful game, all around and the fixes brought it up to “meh”.

Former FXIV player here, Lala’s are one of the best, if not best, magic wielding races. So if you want a magic powerhouse you either play or team up with a Lala.

I love folks who think choosing to censor racism is the same as removing a Queer kiss. Tells me everything I need to know about them.

Bottling up feelings, something men are often taught to do, is exactly why they explode like this. Learning to be ok with being upset and being taught skills on how to navigate that without violence at an early age is what is needed. It’s ok to be angry or upset, but lashing out like this is neither healthy nor

I’m Gen-Z, I watched Top Gun on near repeat as a kid thanks to “free” pay per view my family had and I have zero memory of that intro. Either they cut it out, or it wasn’t memorable but as a person who was obsessed with Top Gun as a kid and as an obsessed Mass Effect fan, I still wouldn’t have got that.

Yes wokness is totally the problem, and not the anti-woke movement that is literally banning books, teaching or anything that remotely touches on the subjects they want to pretend don’t exist, like racism, the history of slavery and LGBTQ rights. P.S. the cancel culture that the right accuses the left of is simply

Given neither of those are true, it’s clear why people don’t have a good grasp on this situation.

I know what you mean. I didn’t have the option when it came out so I played it on Xbox. I wanted the Switch version to be on par because I want a physical edition and Switch would be my console of choice for that. I decided to go the route of buying it on Steam a second time to play it on Steam Deck so I can finally

Yes, and mounts on the Switch.

If this helps and you have other options, play it anywhere but on Switch. You’ll find a better deal on PC or other consoles, and it plays much smoother and looks much better on everything other than Switch.

The Microsoft Adaptive Controller is designed to work with assistive input devices via 3.5mm connection, it’s not really designed to be sufficient on its own. Project Leonardo also features 3.5mm jacks for assitive input devices, so they should have similar expandability. The MS Adaptive Controller has more ports,

That’s why I said for games that run comparably. The resolution difference for something like Hollow Knight on Switch versus Steam Deck is negligible, and the game ultimately looks better on the OLED Switch.

Because they have to. One additional benefit from not manufacturing a cheaper at home only console is people have to buy the more expensive Switch if they want to play docked. And fragmentation is not just problem when it comes to UX, despite that being my main example above. Fragmentation means additional

I agree and disagree. The Steam Deck is great for lots of obscure indies that don’t hit the Switch, or that require the extra power of the Steam Deck. I’m with you if we are talking those games. But if a game runs just as well on either platform, I think the Switch edges the Steam Deck out because of the smaller size

I doubt it would. Depending on the price I’m sure a lot of people would decide to spend the extra funds on the full Switch. It would also create UX fragmentation. Just like the problems that faced the PS Vita, Nintendo would have to disable some games on the home only unit, because anything with touch interface

True, unless we are comparing the Steam Deck to the OLED Switch, and then the Switch has an edge when it comes to superior visuals for games that run comparably on each device (2D indies in particular).

I have a simple rule, if it’s a 2D indie and runs well I buy it for Switch because games look better on the OLED. If it’s 3D or runs better on the Steam Deck, I’ll buy it there. Examples: Hollow Knight runs at 60fps on Switch or Steam Deck. The clear choice is the Switch OLED thanks to the superior black tones, as

Why do people continue to perpetuate this myth? PS4/PS5 games are on the disc. If there is a day one patch that will need to be downloaded. Xbox discs contain the Xbox One install flies, and the Series X pulls universal files from the disc while downloading higher textures and whatnot. But the disc contain the games.
