I feel like the best reason to have a baby is because you are both dying to love one. Not because you might regret not having a child later on. I’d rather risk losing my fertility than have a baby before we were both sure. It's a pretty crappy risk though.

I know exactly what you’re saying. We made it through but having a baby is a radical change in any relationship. If you’re not a mature “roll with it” personality it’s a rough go. Flexibility is an under appreciated personality trait!

Oh now that is a brilliant idea! I think counseling about a month after the birth of a new baby makes a lot of sense in so many ways. What a wonderful gift to give each other and your little family. That’s some smart adulting.
