You're apparently missing a massive chunk of context here. "Ether" is a verb is hiphop, and it's about knocking people out lyrically. It comes from the Nas diss track "Ether", a response to Jay-Z lyrics against him (and hopefully this is the right video, since I can't play it to check right now):

The apostrophe in " 'em " implies missing letters, specifically "th" - if it meant "him" it would be spelled "'im", surely? Or just not have an apostrophe.
